Also part of ‘Low Cost Counselling Maidstone.’ BEWARE.

I paid £28 last night (from my PIP money, as I have a low income and this was the only money I had). I thought ‘wow, a low cost service, I’m finally going to get the help I need.’ I have severe mental health issues and I told Rebecca a bit about these. She told me a counsellor would WhatsApp me this morning but I didn’t receive a call. There’s not even a missed call on my phone. I explained this and explained they have the right number and I would’ve thought she would offer another time today or say that due to what could have been a technical issue (if this place is above board that is) then on this one occasion as it’s my first ever session, they would move it to next week so I wouldn’t have to pay another £28 for NOTHING. But nope. When I explained I’ll have to cancel future sessions as I can’t afford a repeat of this (me never having a phone call but giving Rebecca £28 of my money regardless!) she just told me she’s cancelled my future sessions.

If you don’t mind having no one phone you but them taking £28 off you for no service, then go ahead. It says on the contract they message a couple of times. She didn’t. She emailed me once, when I don’t check emails regularly. Funny how she didn’t WhatsApp message me or text me when she had my number and I stated my preference was WhatsApp.

I’m disgusted that someone who is clearly vulnerable can be treated this way. Anyone else who is vulnerable financially, mentally and emotionally should think twice before making contact - I wish I did.
