What an amazing and caring team and service, I can't recommend them highly enough. The wait time was very quick and a thorough assessment was done previous to my first session to match me up with the best counsellor and I was, I attended and then had a break, when it became clear I needed further support I was welcomed back, again quickly and just picked up where I left off no need to repeat my experiences. The service was recommended to me by a mental health practitioner and I can't thank them enough either. Very conveniently situated in Shrewsbury town centre and very reasonable prices, the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing, not intimidating with lots of resources available for further help. I found the staff have so much empathy and are very skilled in supporting clients like me to ensure they get the most out of the service they provide. The sessions were flexible, sometimes weekly or fortnightly it was tailored to my needs rather than committing to a block of weekly sessions. My counsellor was amazing, a perfect match for me and my needs, I learnt a lot. Today was my last session but I now have now gained a lot of insight and feel I have the tools to embrace a brighter future- and know I will always be welcome back. Thank you crane councelling ?

The worst counselling experience I have ever had. Their CEO is rude and condescending. We went to couples counselling. I am in an abusive relationship. The counsellor was rude, dismissive and sided with my husband. I was distressed because of my husband's behaviour and agreed that they could contact my doctor. They wrote a letter to my doctor and emailed it to my husband but didn't send a copy to me. When I spoke to the doctor he said, "would you like a copy, after all it is about you." There were lies on my doctor's report. I have proof of this. I would not advise any woman in an abusive relationship to reach out to these people. I would go to Green Oak, they are much more professional and I could not imagine them doing anything like this.
*Edit: our doctor has now sent my husband for a diagnosis of narcissistic personality disorder. Crane "quality" Counselling really need to employ people that are trained better. I talked about his abuse throughout the whole session and I was totally ignored and gaslitghed by the counsellor. He is also getting help for his alcohol addiction. I mentioned this in the counselling session. I talked about how abussive he got when he was drunk, but the counsellor didn't even acknowledge this. When you are being abused by someone and you reach out for help you do not expect a trained counsellor to make things so much worse. It has taken me a long time to trust a counsellor again.

Excellent and friendly counselling service. I have used Crane for child counselling and they are caring and great at connecting to the child. Very reasonably priced.
