We first met with Chris from CB Planning to help with a class Q application, (changing some agricultural buildings to residential). We had been told by several architects and agents that it was going to be a real long shot to obtain and not to get our hopes up. However, with Chris’s knowledge and expertise we were not only able to obtain class Q consent, but were encouraged to push for full planning, which we successfully achieved. It truly was a dream come true. We couldn’t have done any of it without Chris, and would, without hesitation, recommend him to anyone considering a building project.

EDIT: Since starting the build we have now come across numerous problems with his plans. His drawings were good enough to get through planning, but not for the build. Details were missed, measurements were off, which has led to various delays, overruns and costs to the build. We have had to pay a considerable amount of money for structural purposes which would have been identified by a qualified architect. My advice is avoid using this company, and instead wait and source a proper architect, who can take proper measurements and who can provide the builder with enough detail to make the build less frustrating for everyone. My builder has tried to contact him, but often his responses aim to throw off as much as possible.

I highly recommend this company!!! I was applying for retrospective planning on my parents house. The building works were completed without consent in the 80's, leaving me with very little paperwork and knowledge of dates or plans.
Chris was amazing at holding my hand through the process.
I went to three different companies to get three different quotes. Despite CB planning was the most expensive, I felt that I would not have to micromanage his work, and that I was dealing with a complete professional.

Last October it became necessary to plan and obtain consent for a single storey annex to care for an elderly relative. The timing of the project was of urgent concern due to increasing immobility however, 18 days after his initial
site survey, we had detailed drawings together with a full planning application. From our first meeting with Chris Brian, we felt comfortable with our choice.
