If I am absolutely honest I would never recommend these solicitors. After a long and complex 5 year battle with my ex partner and his family having access to my daughter following him committing a pretty horrific child sex offence crime this solicitors were absolutely useless. The solicitor that was acting for me at the time had her own personal issues going on at home which hadn't helped. When the court case came around the judge had told everyone that my solicitor had missed out numerous vital pieces of evidence including my health records. This led to my daughter being put in danger. When I asked that I wanted another solicitor to act for me it got refused. What had even a 5 year battle could have been finished in under a year.
The case went back to court to get a variation put on the order another firm acted for me and everything was over in 3 months as they actually cared and did the job right.
I have been left £17000 in debt now because of this firm and the inability to act properly. Instead just racking up the bill for their own self gratitude. The other firm had taken all of this on board and in the end the solicitor acting for me who was a partner in the business reduced the cost massively as she heard about how much debt they have left me in.
The business is all about grabbing money and not caring for the people they should be defending. Would definitely not recommend!

A smart, welcoming premises. The receptionist was very understanding and skilled at keeping us at our ease under trying circumstances. The solicitor who subsequently attended to us did so in a highly professional manner and was clearly very knowledgeable in her field.

Not quite sure where to start. After a bad experience last year with Hewitts and the new build team we ended up with them again after being broken financially and mentally. The shambles we bought the year previous we thankfully sold on but ended up with having to deal with the new build team again. All I can say is they are rude, unprofessional, tell lies and contradict each other, get everyone het up, don't look out for your interests, can't send you anything in the post without it needing collection from royal mail cos they don't pay the carriage on it, then blame you for not acting quick enough getting something back you never got in the first place, acuse good solicitors who have bent over backwards to help you in Hewitts incompetence of not passing on information when 2 people from that office spoke to the new build team in the days and weeks before...they never call you back, inform you of anything, pass you through not only to the wrong person, but the wrong solicitors in a different postcode then have to ring again and hope the idiot who answers the phone transfers you correctly this time...talk to you like crap and accuse you of being a liar and they have no knowledge of what your talking about eventhough you and solicitors and builders have all have the same conversation with their colleague then when all those people after been accused of being liars confronts them they suddenly get their finger out and do the job you have paid them to do in the first place. I will be making a formal complaint when everything settles down as we have tried to move house a single person with a son, disabled mother and 2 dogs all the while working full time and Hewitts made the whole process a nightmare. Never ever use if you want a smooth process, to be treat respectfully and have all information at hand before you hand over large sums of money and make desicions that affect your life as you will be seriously let down and screwed over as they don't have your interests at heart.. they also pretend they are not at their desk or in a meeting or on lunch so you don't have any interaction with them they also talk to you like shite the most unprofessional solicitors I've had the misfortune to deal with. When you finally get moved into you new build and its all gone massively wrong they wash their hands of you and aren't interested in you any more. Only given 1 star as I had to minus -1000 stars would be more appropriate

Couldn't fault the service with my house purchase, was kept informed with all updates and any query was dealt with extremely fast. Ryan guided me through my purchase and I felt 100% confident with him doing so. Also managed to get me in before Christmas. Brilliant service!

Their communication is diabolical, you can send multiple emails, leave several voicemails and call in to the office on a daily basis and you will either be passed to an assistant (who then won't respond anyway) or just completely ignored. I would think long and hard before providing them with all of your financial information to get a house purchase over the line. Shop around and go elsewhere and save yourself the headache!

Wanted help with conveyancing, left my name and number with secretary, was told twice that someone would phone after lunch. No one did. I did eventually speak to someone after phoning again myself for the 3rd time. Was advised that family solicitor would be appropriate for my particular needs and that my number was passed onto the family solicitor and I would receive a call back shortly. That was Wednesday this week, its now Friday afternoon and still no response.
