We used Long Clawson Village Hall for Wedding in June 2023. It was absolutely perfect - lots of space, indoors and out, very good facilities and Faith was brilliant throughout. We got lucky with the weather and had a ceremony outside too! Thank you everyone to everyone at the hall.

We just had our daughter's wedding reception here and it was just great. The village hall is a wonderful venue, good value and very flexible. Faith was so helpful, giving lots of useful advice and always responding quickly to our (many) questions. The large hall seats 150, and we cleared some of the tables to allow for dancing later on. The full catering kitchen was excellent for our caterers to prepare the food (they did have to bring most of their own pots and pans, etc).
Then there is a good sized "lounge", where we had an open access bar, a Wii for the younger ones (mainly the groom and his mates, actually!) lots of photos of the bride and groom from their childhood, etc, and also an LED campfire with benches around for a calm place to get away from the lively activity in the hall. There is also the patio for people to hang out, and the adjacent play area if there are young children.
We hired equipment (including the chiavari chairs you see in the picture and the benches) from BE Event Hire, which was recommended by the hall, and also excellent.

We used Long Clawson Village Hall for our wedding reception and it was perfect! Faith was so attentive and helpful throughout the whole process- she was quick in responding to any queries and great at communicating details and logistics. We had 130 guests and the hall was the perfect size and location for our day, particularly with the outdoor area which was lovely for photos, and the large carpark onsite was also very handy. The facilities were also great with the bar and bar staff, and the use of the catering kitchen, as well as chairs, tables, and fairy lights that were set up for us. Thank you!

We had our wedding reception at Long Clawson village hall and I couldn't recommend them enough. Straight off from the initial contact, nothing has been too much trouble (which was great as we had been let down by our original venue only a few weeks before the big day). Matt on the bar was so accommodating and helpful regarding all of our requests. Fairy lights and drapes were set up before we started our booking as well as the tables being set up for us. We had 60 guests altogether for the day and 100 for the evening and it was more than adequate in size (could have accommodated more). The kitchen was perfect for our caterers and was really well equipped. We were so pleased with everything about the venue and it's staff and would certainly look to hire again if we needed a hall in the future. Thank you to everyone at LCVH for helping to make our wedding day absolutely perfect.

What a lovely village hall, just perfect for those family functions and get togethers, nice big hall of which opens up to the enclosed outside space. Spacious entrance hall with nicely kept washrooms. the function room also has an ample sized stage for entertainment. And a bar is available if needed. A really pleasant evening. Would highly recommend long Clawson Village hall has everything needed for that perfect get together.

Booked my daughters fifth birthday party at the village hall, huge space enough for a bouncy castle, soft play area and tables! Booking service is so easy and friendly, at a really reasonable price for the usage of hall and kitchen! Plenty of parking space, and an outside area joined to the hall! The village park is there too, adding to the beautiful setting! Will most certainly be using again in the future!

The Village Hall at Hickling is the 'heart of the village' where happy and sad times are celebrated! It is also a poignant memorial to those who have gone before or been killed in action! A historic building, very much loved and held close 'in the hearts of residents!'
