Excellent. I was surprised by how few local (modern) accountants were willing to take on a small professional services business when I started some 3 years ago. Responses from other firms were slow, apathetic or non existent. Evans however, responded straight away to my original enquiry, discussed the business in detail, proper T&Cs in place etc and it's all going well now. They are extremely patient with me as I am not at all literate on accounting matters and have always answered queries quickly - and have been very transparent which helps someone like me! I asked for a proposal from Evans & Partners to run the book keeping and accounting for my family's hotel business in Scotland because of previous positive experience of them, The response was fast, professional and exactly what I required. However, in the event, the family decided to sell the business to a hotel group and, as a result, the requirement is no longer there.

Had the business been retained, I would definitely now be transferring the service to Evans & Partners. The service they provide is just so well thought through and engineered resulting in accurate forward looking accounts rather than the more typical out of date backward looking ones.

I am the Director of a small consultancy firm. Evans and Partners were my accountants from Feb 2019 to late 2020 whilst I lived in Bristol, before I moved away again and returned to my previous (excellent) accountants. The initial meeting was highly promising and the service looked fantastic.
However, my POC at Evans and Partners was Louise Hilton, who was largely unresponsive to any requests or questions and left all tasks until the very last deadline. I normally had to email or phone several times over a period of weeks before receiving a response. The accounting work itself was satisfactory.
Then three years after the end of the contract, Evans and Partners sent an automated email requesting payment of an invoice. This was a surprise as it was an invoice I had questioned before and had written confirmation from the company that it was not valid and I did not need to pay it. I appeared that the company had re-examined the issue and now decided I was liable. They then continued to send automated emails for months without responding to my emails asking for clarification. I found their treatment rude, unprofessional and impersonal. I would not recommend this company.
