We knew from the very beginning of our wedding planning that constructing our ceremony wording ourselves was never going to happen but we knew we wanted to. Where do we even begin?

Hannah was the answer, to the question and all of our problems.

As we got married in Scotland, the content of a wedding ceremony can be as personal and bespoke as you like considering all legal terminology is included. This gave us so much to think about and we needed guidance to put our hearts down on paper. We needed someone to write a beautiful ceremony from start to finish that was personal to us and also reflected what our marriage means to us.

We hoped for someone to pretty much hold our hands all the way through in creating a bespoke piece of writing that explained how much we meant to one another, making sure we didn’t miss anything vital or important we wanted to say. We got all of that and more.

On the day our Registrar executed our writing to the highest calibre and to us it was the most special moment. It was nice for the both of us to hear the special parts we had not heard before including a lovely message from our parents. We had fantastic comments from our guests too from ‘I just want to say that was beautiful’ to ’We’ve never been to a wedding like it’. The ceremony was perfect and this is all thanks to Hannah.

From the first email to the last we felt the whole process was flawless, the way we constructed our ceremony step-by-step was easily managed and no question was a stupid one. Before we found Hannah the stress levels were getting quite high, as we near enough had a full wedding planned with no ceremony, but after our first conversations a weight had been lifted and our minds soothed.

When we stepped into the unknown with our elopement wedding in 2020, we had no idea what to expect. Since we’d got engaged in December (planning to be married in a huge ceremony in September) the world seemed to have turned upside down!

The wedding plans were cancelled, everything was on hold, families were miles apart. We wanted some positivity to come out of 2020 so we decided on a whim to elope to Cornwall - leaving us with a tricky dilemma of (a) how to tell our families about the plan and (b) wondering how we could bring our families and friends along with us to our wedding in spirit, even though they wouldn’t be there with us in person.

Hannah put all those worries to one side for us. She was a constant source of inspiration, creativity, support and reassurance.

We wanted our short Registrar-led wedding ceremony to still be personal, it’s a day that has such meaning to us. But how can you convey your feelings over a lifetime, past, present and future in a few lines? With Hannah’s thoughtful and imaginative guidance, she supported us in putting all of our emotions into words, words which will stay with us for the rest of our lives. Not only were our Words and Wisdom vows just so special, she involved our families/close friends by making a written contribution for us to open on the day too.

We can’t express how grateful we are to Hannah for her sensitive approach to our difficult circumstances and her involvement in making the day we eloped to be married one of the best days of our lives.

We wanted something different for our wedding, something special and unique and we found Hannah. Not only is she all of those things but everything that she did for us was too.

It was the best decision we made having Hannah to create our speeches and also the one for Father of the Bride. Friends and family had input too which made it very special and personal . Everyone commented on how beautiful and different it was and it played a big part in our special day xxx I can’t thank Hannah enough for the special memories she created.
