Following an initial positive experience with this company where in late July 2024 I received a preliminary consultation with Lisa on my divorce, I have been somewhat less impressed with the follow on service.
With money very tight and my estranged husband being less than transparent with his financial disclosure it has taken a while before I was in a position to proceed.
Nonetheless in late September 24 I was informed by Lisa that my file was being closed as I had not yet instructed the solicitor to proceed. Not entirely unreasonable but when considering they were well aware of the difficult circumstances, perhaps somewhat hasty.
Finally in late Nov 24 I had the money available and the financial disclosure details such that i could proceed and wrote to inform the company of such. After over a week with no response I wrote again asking them to proceed where I received an automated email saying they would respond within the next 7 days, yet here we are 10 day before Christmas and nothing from who I believed to be a reputable company of solicitors. It's hard enough to make ends meet, let alone get the money together to employ a solicitor to deal with the difficult divorce that I am enduring, but to not even get a response explaining why they wouldn't/couldn't take on my case after initially saying they would is incredibly inconsiderate to say the least.
If she could have told me they were not going to tackle the case I could be well into the process with another company rather than facing another Christmas with my children not knowing what is going to happen next.

Thank you for taking the time to respond but perhaps if you had actually read what was written your response may have had a chance to address the issue that I previously raised.
I made it very clear that a complete lack of response to the emails I sent was the crux of the issue, your statement that you responded is entirely false as I received nothing from your company following my multiple emails. As I previously said a response was what I expected; however, one was not forthcoming, in direct contradiction to what you wrote, and yes I did regularly check my junk mail.
Perhaps this would be better resolved direct rather than in this public forum as you are not representing your company in a very good light at all.

I have recently completed the sale of a property in Newark, Notts. The solicitor who handled the sale for me, Shilpa Miah, was excellent! Communication was always first class e.g., emails were responded to promptly on the day, or within 24 hours, and where matters needed “chasing” – they were chased. As with most transactions of this nature there were one or two glitches. These were dealt with very sensitively and well. I received calls to discuss these matters and was provided with timely advice on more complex issues.
