Jonathan has made the biggest difference in my life.

I've always been sceptical about seeking counselling or help with anything related to mental health and wellbeing. It was something that I thought was a largely American thing that was uncomfortable for me to engage in.

But having spent the last few months seeing Jonathan on a regular basis, I've been able to open up and talk about the things that I've brushed to one side for years. Now I can talk openly about the subjects that really matter with the most important people in my life.

Jonathan is really easy to talk to. He does not dress things up or over-complicate in his approach. He is relatable and calm, letting you talk about the issues that matter to you and open up at a pace that is comfortable to you. He asks questions that make you look outside of situations and events in your life to produce a fuller picture of how they have affected you.

I know every person is different and his approach will probably adapt for their needs, but for me, personally, it was like talking to someone who had known me for years and it put me at ease very quickly.

The physical surroundings at Garden Room Counselling are idyllic and comfortable. It is situated in a well-furnished room on the stunning grounds of The Elm Tree. It is peaceful and makes you feel safe, secure and able to talk freely and confidently.

If you feel like you would like to talk to someone about almost any issue, then I cannot recommend Jonathan enough. His knowledge, humour and approach has made the entire process comfortable and valuable, especially as I was someone who has always been resistant and protective of opening up about mental health.

I cannot thank him enough. He provides an incredible service and a he is credit to his industry.
