Never been in before until recently,

Quiet atmosphere, maybe the time of day. Not a very friendly welcome by the security guard who looked miserable and did not even make eye contact, just told me to sit around the corner.

Staff looked ok but the one I saw was not the most talkative and did not come across very helpful and as someone who has not been in a job centre for years and has worked in customer service for over 20yrs it’s no wonder the job centre gets a bad reputation.

I wish someone could explain why as soon a you go in a job centre everyone treats you like you have never worked or do not want to. Just because people make unemployment a living not everyone is the same. In fact I believe most people would be and should be happy if they had a job especially a one for life no doubt in a job centre.

Please try and not treat everyone the same because we aren’t. All these wasteful course people get sent on to learn how to write a CV. Maybe some job centre staff should go on a customer service course.
