Although I didn't use Conveyancing Direct myself, I had the displeasure of dealing with them as part of our chain whilst trying to move house. One of the members of staff, Happy, ironically, didn't make us very happy. Very slow to respond, extremely uncommunicative with our solicitors and woefully unorganised. Not only did he miss our exchange date (twice!), he also forgot to request the funds on completion day, but didn't bother to mention this until about 4:15pm. This meant we were left effectively homeless for the weekend and were left out of pocket as we had to pay for removals twice and I had to take a day unpaid off work. Although they have paid us back, it still totally soured our experience. Please avoid these online conveyancing companies and use a local solicitor. Yes, it is more expensive but as the old saying goes "you get what you pay for". These guys are cheap for a reason. Avoid.
