A really poor experience from the start; unhelpful, unprofessional and rude. Is my case still open? Who knows. Did I provide them a written scope which they completely ignored? Yep. Did I have to pay upfront? Yep - so there is nothing I could do once they stopped responding. Ashtons also seem to have no complaints procedure so will waste your time and money with no accountability. If they don't deliver what you asked, they should refund and not try to charge you even more to discuss the issue.

Kate was always on hand for any queries we may of had, even if Kate wasn't in the office there would always be another member of staff to help.

John Chambers, who drafted my original agreement over 20 years ago gave excellent initial advice and then passed me to Tom to resolve the conflict that then came. I called this company to find legal advice in the passing of my son they were so not helpful in there attitude I was spoken to with such a demeaning and disrespectful manner I can’t really understand how they carry on with such a disgusting behaviour
I found that they treated my self as they are doing me a favour in taking to me and they work in the area of medical negligence shame on them do not engage with this company

Excellent service for selling/buying a house. We chose Ashtons after a recommendation from a friend (after having issues and delays with our first purchase with another solicitor a few years ago) and so glad that we did.

The price was a little more than some of the cheaper conveyancers would have been, but not much more and still very reasonable in my opinion - and the service was so much better! Well worth it.

Communication was excellent, everything was clearly explained and all the steps and costs outlined perfectly. They worked fast and did a thorough job. It was really easy to get in touch whenever we needed, and they responded very quickly to all our enquiries as well as to our estate agent, which meant everything went through so much more smoothly.

We aren't near the office and we were able to do almost all the documents required digitally (just downloaded the PDFs and edited /signed them on Google Drive), and the rest by post. They use a secure email portal for all sensitive communication.

Ashtons Legal have done the conveyancing for multiple purchases and sales of both my own houses as well as buy to let houses. They have always been very quick to respond to any questions I have had and have managed to get complicated purchases through with ease and as always a lot of attention to detail. Claire and her team have always looked after me well and I cannot recommend them enough. Despite it being one of the busiest times for solicitors due to stamp duty breaks, they recently managed to get a purchase done very quickly with no fuss.
