I have been in the property business for over 20 years this must be by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. I have viewed a property 13 Spalding Common in Spalding it was on offers highest offer takes it & it was cash buy only. my offer was the highest I showed interest from day 1 they kept telling me we are waiting for call back from the seller. after 6 days they come back to me to say sorry even tho your over is the highest but the seller wants to go with the other bidder which I find very hard to believe because why would someone take less knowing they have higher offer. I feel sorry people who sell with this company this company misleads both parties stay well away. I believe they have they own people buying these properties cheap & they put boards up & do the viewings for show just to convince the sellers they doing they best.

Booked to view a house, I lived over an hour away & longstaff double booked me with someone else, we both turn up 10 minutes early longstaff are 10 minutes late. The representative takes a look at both of us & says he can only do one viewing at a time & if I would like to wait (I can pass for very early 20s but actually closer to 30 in a tracksuit & a Ford Focus & the other viewer was an older gentleman in workgear with a brand new 4x4 which I believe was relevant) after half an hour I could hear them chatting in the garden so I approached at which point the other viewer shook hands & left. The representative told me sorry he didn't have anymore time & I'd have to re-book, I told him not a chance & to let me in for 5 minutes or pay my loss of earnings & travel etc, he agreed 5 minutes but no longer. I looked around best I could in this time & told him I'd like to make an offer, he asked how much, I said the asking price cash. After a brief shock he then proceeds to literally look me up & down while explaining I would have to have proof of funds & where I got them from before I could make a legitimate offer, I explained he could put forward the offer & then liase with my conveyancing solicitor, if he was sat on a chair he would've fallen off it, I felt so discriminated. The attitude recieved was disgusting, my offer was accepted but the problems with Longstaff did not stop there, communication issues on their part made it a lengthy process & on the day of key handover the refused to give them to me because they didn't have confirmation that the previous owner was out, this is against the law as far as I'm aware & just as I forced my viewing I had to use force to get my keys. Please be aware when dealing with Longstaff, do you really want a company like this dealing with your property?

We cannot fault the experience from start to finish of the staff at Longstaff Spalding office. Especially Michelle, Sam and Sharon. They are all extremely professional, knowledgeable, courteous. They say what they are going to do and carry it out in a timely manner. We have just rented our first property from them and the process was seamless. Michelle was always on hand throughout the process giving us updates. Even with my daily emails to her. Nothing was too much trouble. We would recommend them if you are looking to rent a property.

Cannot fault the staff at Spalding branch. Very professional and helpful.
We sold our property and wanted to rent for a while. Nothing was any trouble for them. Turn around was quick.
Will definitely be recommending them and we will be using them again in the future.

What can I say about longstaff. A utterly disgusting company. I rented a property at 1200 month off them. Due to damps and leaks in the ceiling, walls etc we as a family moved back out. 6 months later the issue was never sorted even through promises were made to fix. The gas tank was completely empty before moving in and it's cost me near 800 to half fill the tank. After 6 months of not spending one night at the house we decided enough was enough and handed in the notice to leave. Now they are saying they are not buying the gas off me which I had to get because they left me with nothing. Longstaff! U should be ashamed. you think it's ok to rob people of there money. Your a absolute joke of a company and I would never give you a penny more of my money. People? This is was they do to army veterans

Worst letting agent I have ever come across! We are trying to relocate to Spalding as it is more affordable than where we currently live. I phoned the agent to try and book a couple of viewings and they never ever bothered to get back to me! Were rude and intrusive on the phone as well. Shocking service! Landlords - take your business elsewhere, your property will probably be vacant for a long time if you deal with this joke of a company!
