I am extremely dissatisfied with the service provided by Robert A Harris and his team. After my partner’s passing, I became the director of his company, which was inherited by our children. However, without my consent or prior knowledge, Robert helped my partner’s mother become a director, and she misappropriated company funds—spending over £40,000 without any legitimate explanation.

Despite repeated requests for invoices and transparency, including numerous emails and phone calls, I received no response for months. When I requested to switch to a new accountant last summer, Robert sent me invoices that I had never seen before, including charges for emails and advice that were never communicated or agreed upon upfront. I also requested a contract between the accountants and previous directors, as well as a clear breakdown of their standard fees—this was ignored for weeks.

Additionally, Robert claimed he holds the license for my company’s Xero account and has refused to cancel the subscription, despite my explicit request to do so. He insists on continuing to charge me for this service, which I view as an abuse of authority.

I have been left with no choice but to deal with these issues while managing the complex responsibilities of my family and business. The complete lack of professionalism, transparency, and communication has made this process far more difficult than it should be. My goal is simply to settle my outstanding invoices and move forward with a new accountant, but this process has dragged on for far too long, with no resolution in sight.

I strongly advise others to be cautious when considering this service.
