I've done both the full 2 day Mental health First Aider course with Tim Lloyd, and the half day refresher. Both courses were really informative, well run (remotely via video conferencing), and Tim is such a great instructor with a lot of knowledge to share, and a good sense of humour. Can't recommend it enough.

Tim was a very lovely trainer for Mental Health First Aid, and great at taking up questions from the group and personalising the discussion for us. I missed the second day and Tim and Mikey were great at rescheduling me onto another group.

The training gave opportunity to practice the conversations we will have as First Aiders and gave useful frameworks to take forward. The resources you are allowed to access even after the course are very comprehensive and checked by mental health professionals.

The MHFA course was absolutely fantastic and Tim did an exceptional job of delivering this. The course that I did was a 2 day online course. I was a little nervous about being on a call with strangers, however, Tim did a lovely job of making everyone on the course feel instantly comfortable. His method of teaching encouraged open conversations about the topics we discussed, which naturally built our understanding without needing to be lectured at. His teaching style encourages you to think for yourself - he rarely informs you of an answer, he instead asks questions that guide you down the path to the right thinking, which is an exceptional talent. His knowledge, experience, and willingness to be vulnerable with the group shone through to encourage our learning. This is genuinely one of the best pieces of education that I've ever engaged in. I thought I was reasonably informed and understanding of mental health and how to help friends, colleagues and family who are struggling, however, this has completely shifted that perspective and added so much knowledge (that I didn't know I was missing) to it. This course will not only help you in the workplace, but in all walks of life. I couldn't recommend highly enough. Thank you Tim and everyone else involved at Mindmaps!

I attended a two day Mental Health First Aid course and I would highly recommend it. Tim was a fantastic instructor, the delivery of the sessions was excellent with plenty of opportunities for engagement and further discussion of the content and information being explored. I now feel far more comfortable, confident and able to support someone experiencing a mental health issue.

I attended a mental health first aider course online with this company, and found it very insightful. Tim was our course leader and was absolutely amazing, he had a great understanding of mental health but also of a way of taking us through the course and explaining things in a way that was easy for us to understand and remember. Being online there is always the possibility of wifi issues or easier disengagement, but I felt the way Tim lead the course was really easy to follow and kept me engaged. I also have a really awkward name, but Tim made the effort to say it right, and that for me helped make me feel more involved in the course. There are also a lot of resources you can access outside of the course and useful links to still discuss scenarios if you feel you need extra support afterwards or want to further your own knowledge around certain subjects. Overall, couldn't rate highly enough!

Refresher course delivered by Tim was an excellent session. Talking through experiences with other FAiders was really helpful. The subject changes with updates and new information all the time so refreshing is a great way of learning new skills and sharing with others.

Had a brilliant 2 day MHFAider course led by Tim, super interesting, challenging but most importantly insightful. I strongly believe as many people possible should consider this course. Proud as punch to be a Mental Health First Aider!

I have just completed the 2-day Mental Health First Aid course and would highly recommend this organisation. The course content was clear, informative, well-paced and engaging. Tim was an excellent course leader; experienced and genuine. Michael was kind and supportive with logistics. Thanks both, I'll be recommending this course to my colleagues.
