I have received second to none service from Stuart at Barry Beard today. He has re wired and made safe two very old cast iron lamps for me. He went to great lengths to make sure the cables and fittings were in keeping with the period of the lamps, using black 3 core cabling. This is an old school family run business which we very rarely see today. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We had Barrie Beard in to replace a number of night storage heaters and install a new fuse board. Louie Emery (apprentice) did a great job of fitting the new heaters and Rob Davenport was fantastic with the electrical aspect of the job. It so refreshing to find an electrician who is passionate about what they do and also makes sure that the work is done to a very high & safe standard. Both were extremely polite, very punctual, kept the place clean as they worked and we are extremely pleased with the end result. Also thanks to Dan Cattell for the prompt home visit and quote. Would highly recommend and definitely would use Barrie Beard again in the future!

I contacted Barrie Beard electrical regarding changing and upgrading our domestic fusebox. The quote that I was given was in my opinion a good one, so I booked the work to be done. The engineer turned up at the agreed time, and the work was carried out to my complete satisfaction within the day. My only contact with Barrie Beard before this was for the purchase of small electrical items, but following this experience I feel that I would be completely happy to recommend them for similar work.

At the end of February we had a new fuse box fitted and all of the lights and light switches in the house rewired by Rob and Louie.
They were professional ,friendly ,tidy and arrived every morning(for a week )at the time they said they would .
When a problem arose ,through no fault of theirs, they stayed late so that we would still have electricity for the night.
We would definitely recommend this company and will be looking to use them again in the future

I was recommended to use your service by one of my neighbours. All I required was a replacement bulb for an electric oven which I got with courtesy and at a reasonable price. My thanks. I could not help noticing the very professional set up of your premises and you service vehicles which were clean and unmarked. This is good because if your staff look after the firms vehicles they will apply themselves with care to my property if I require to use them to service my domestic equipment.
