I was found to have ovarian cancer in January and instead of just doing an operation to remove it. They have messed about having to have a biopsy to see what typevof cancer it was. I was feeling fairly fit till that biopsy that didn't even show what cancer it is. Now after that biopsy I have blood clots and feel really ill. Now because of the consultants there it's to late. Inside on going to the christies hospital as Burnley are total rubbish with cancer treatment

We were at Burnley today No Disable Parking (only for about 3/4cars)...
Went back of the parking where Extra parking No Disable Bays at All 😡...
We went to the machine absolutely slow queue with 6 people waiting ...
Parking is awful 😖 😱....
More parking for STAFF....
Found parking far away ....
Went into the building lifts Not working ....
But the Building wow what a Clean Place 👏
Much Better than Blackburn....
We had to walk and walk....

The doctor had no idea what to do, was googling for what to do with post infection rabies vaccination. Went away, came back with a man nurse who looked nervous and told me they dont do vaccinations at the hospital.
A day later i go to calderdale hospital with the same problem, they get me the correct vaccine and tell me i should have come days earlier as its quite dangerous to delay it.

All and all Burnley hospital wasted a day from my life, potentially putting me in mortal danger due to delayed treatment. I wish i knew the name of the doctor 😕 i felt like what happened over there was negligence that should be reported somewhere

Bleak environment, dreadful mismanagement of patient care. Total inability to manage discharge of elderly patients resulting in a disgraceful waste of NHS resources. Automated response when you try to return missed calls (almost no one leaves a message and they certainly never leave a number you can then get them on). Message telling you we can't determine who called you but not to worry they will phone again-they don't. Awful lack of any joined up services between health and social care.

Overall a dismal place, especially at weekends.

Garbage the booking centre purposely rearrange appointments so that i can not attend as they know the times i can and can not attend due to needing care, I've had various problems for 4 years now and still suffer in agony every day. Complaints have been submitted numerous times and the pals dept never return calls or if they do they take a run down of complaint then never heard from again. General surgery is a joke as they want a pre theatre appointment done then take that long to give a surgery date the pre theatre test need doing again which they try to do over the phone ..........not sure my phone can test mrsa and take bloods Incompetent from the bottom to the top !

Were to begin from start to finish my treatment was superb a big thank you to Mrs Bhatia and team at gynae from walking in the door greeted by Tracey, theatre staff, perfectly spotless ward lovely friendly staff I just want to send you big hugs and love and a massive thank you xx

I have got to give a big thank you to all the staff at BGH. I was in for a minor opp at the Elective Centre next building to the Urgent Care Centre and you can use the drop off parking here too get easy access, found this out yesterday. From being booked in to having the procedure you were well looked after and cared for, nothing was too much trouble and I really appreciate all the hard work they did while I was there. A special ✨️ Thanks to the Asian Nurse who looked after me and even after a 12 hour shift was still smiling 😃 and walked 🚶‍♂️ me to my car when I was allowed to go home 🏡. Every little thing you can do for the Nurses makes there shift that much easier. May God Bless You All 🙏.

My genuine review of the hospital is quite positive, but they could improve information processing between Blackburn Hospital and here, but that’s more of an NHS infrastructure issue that I’m sure they look to solve.

I have had an absolutely amazing experience with all of the staff there. I have attended several times, months/years apart and every time they have delivered an absolute brilliant, caring, supportive and efficient service.

I feel safe, comfortable and confident when they explain things like procedures or medical information.

Would give it 6/5 stars if I could, just for being typically less busy and having consistent and improved waiting times; in comparison to Blackburn Hospital for example.
