Came today - 17 March 2025.|Beef sandwich - its the best I can ever remember having - the meat was absolute quality and tasted fantastic - before it came I nearly ordered some crisps to go with it but that would have been pointless as the packed sandwich came with 5 roast potatoes!!! - crispy and wonderful and a nice small salad on the side - very fresh.|What more can I say - an all but roast dinner in a bun - wonderful chef.||My wife had the caesar salad which looked tremendous too and she said it was - she generally east like a bird but she ate the lot.||thank you very much indeed.

This was our last hotel of our Hadrians wall walk, it was a bit of a detour as the train to Newcastle leaves from the town, which is quite a charming, and expensive looking area.|The hotel itself is well presented and a little "twee" rooms are basic, but a lovely bar and nice outdoor drinking area to watch the world go by. However the breakfast lifted it to 4 stars, reccomed the Nortumbrian breakfast, clearly all local and lovely presentation, it was easily the best breakfast of our trip and included in the price of the room.

LOVED this place and town! We opted for the apartment room as we were 5 people walking the wall path. It was more than enough space and very comfortable. It is a few miles from the path so you need transportation to/from as walking on the direct route would be dangerous (no shoulder). There is a pub and restaurant and other selections in town. (Still regret not getting a dessert at the bakery but too full). Corbridge was a great place to wander about!

Brilliant Sunday lunch. Really good quality food. The meat and veg quality was excellent with a huge Yorkshire. We also added a few sides (red cabbage, cauli cheese) and we had plenty of food. The service was really good - quick. polite, knowledgeable. Loved the way they got us sauces and extra gravy within seconds (hate it when you're given hot food and it takes ages for the sauces to arrive!). Top pint of Anarchy Brew Blonde Star as well. Some people say it's expensive - we were £60 for 2 roasts, side dishes and drinks. Fairly average if you want quality. It was a few years since we last ate there but will definitely be back soon.

Best Sunday lunch we’ve ever had. Thanks for having us last minute. No reservation but welcomed in on a busy Sunday. Whoever thought of cumin in the stuffing is a genius. That little detail wasn’t missed. Outstanding

We cane to The Angel for a spur of the moment lunch on Christmas Eve with friends. We hadn't booked a table, but we were welcomed immediately. Great choice of meals, and the food we chose was superb. The friendly service definitely added to the experience. Will definitely visit again!

I unfortunately got food poisoning from a vegan Sunday lunch here on 13th April (therefore cross contamination likely). So I would not recommend. I have sent two emails to inform them, one week apart without any acknowledgement, hence leaving this review here.

Really poor today, got the pigeon starter and didn't enjoy it, then went for the beef dinner, which my mistake it was pink and I like mine well done, infact the dog got the majority of it. The mashed swede was the best. The rest was terrible and quite cold.
