Used them for selling our property and purchase of new house. Main problem was the exchange. Was supposed to happen Friday 10th and move following Friday but we got an email at 2.30 saying they haven’t been able to get hold off other parties. Tried to phone back but she had already left for the day so then spent all weekend not knowing if that would affect moving date. Then 2pm Monday were again told she couldn’t get hold off other parties. I spoke to our estate agent who picked up the phone, called both the other solicitors who said they were ready but waiting to hear from our solicitor. Seems she sent an email in the morning and that was it. Why could she not make some phone calls? Estate agent had answers in less than an hour while she couldn’t do it in 2 days! I asked her to make calls first thing Tuesday only to get a message telling me she had emailed the other parties. I had to go back to her again to insist she phoned them as emails obviously were not working. 3 days of stress could have been avoid with some simple phone calls instead of just sending an email with no follow up. However the completion was dealt with by someone else in the office and that was faultless, sell complete by 11 and purchase done by 11.30.
