Sadly my ex didn't stand by what was said in the meeting but Beverley was hugely supportive to my children in child-led mediation. They came out feeling that their problems would all be solved they hadn't slept so well in ages as they did the evening after talking with her.

I was recommended to use Beverley Long at BBL family law while in a meeting with my financial advisor.
I made the call on her high recommendation around 5 years ago and I’m glad I did. My ex girlfriend decided to be as nasty as possible and stop my access to me seeing my daughter and I was in a bad place at the time as she was and is my world.
On my first meeting with Beverley she completely put me at ease and assured me that as long as I hadnt done anything wrong in the eyes of the law then I hadn’t anything to worry about , She explained that mediation was best way forward and cheapest but failing that (and it did fail) she would represent me and do all she could for me in court to get the right outcome.
After many letters and failed attempts to sort things I ended up at court which isn’t a nice experience.
At court Beverley was so proffesional and went through every detail with me and put me at ease. When my ex turned up with a barrister I was really worried but Beverley said no Barrister is above the law and she was right. The outcome was excellent and Beverley got me access to my daughter again, She was outstanding.
About a year ago sadly I had to contact Beverley again as my ex was being extremely difficult and dictating and the court order that had been put in place was not fit for purpose anymore .
Without going into full detail Beverley represented me in court several times again and last summer a stronger court order was put in place that is fit for purpose and my time now with my little girl is fantastic.
I would very highly recommend BBL family law to anyone needing help and advice and my experience with
Beverley Long is that she is a 5 star outstanding solicitor who cares about her clients She is so professional in every way. She kept me updated all the time via letters,emails and phone calls and through her calmness and skilful knowledge of the law got me the outcome I deserved.
I would also like to thank Mathew lord another excellent solicitor who stood in for Beverley if she was on holiday. My financial advisor gave me the names of 6 family law solicitors she recommended but when I put her on the spot nearly 5 years ago and said “if you had to pick 1 of the 6 who would it be”?
I’m so glad she said Beverley Long.

I spent £267 on two wasted hours and was spoken to with an appalling lack of respect by BEVERLEY LONG, who provided a thoroughly unprofessional service throughout, taking sides with my estranged wife for no apparent reason. What happened to impartiality?
During this session, Beverley Long made no notes, forgot what was agreed and appeared to lose the plot when suddenly asking me "Why have you picked up a glass (of water)?"
She then asked "Do you feel safe in here Michael?" I replied "Sorry, why are you saying these things?"
Furthermore, when I asked to borrow a pen, Beverley refused, even though numerous pens were on the table.
My estranged wife, spent the majority of the session lying about events during our relationship, when actually we were there to discuss contact times for me with our son. Beverley made no attempt to stop her. When estranged wife finished speaking, I wanted to have my opportunity to defend myself but was simply told by Beverley that we are not here to talk about the relationship. Her failure to even attempt to stop estranged wife everytime she tried to raise a new complaint about me as a person is the reason why the mediation dragged so much and after 2 hours, all we had agreed was for me to have my son at certain times during my annual leave. BUT BEVERLEY LONG did not bother to make any notes and forgot what the agreed times were. This wasn't helpful when estranged wife was also playing games.
DO NOT USE this law centre. They are not impartial and Beverley Long was deliberately trying to upset me. Perhaps she was just having a bad day. I wouldn't risk using her in case she has another bad day.

Lucy Steele has been simply amazing - Given my own personal circumstances, Lucy has been completely focused on getting me the best result and outcome possible, under very challenging circumstances. Advice has been on hand throughout the last 10 months, either by telephone, email or in person.

From the very outset of my maritial/family issues, Lucy has had a clear objective, which has not once been deviated from. Lucy has been resolute in her approach, always applying the correct amount of pressure to a circumstance to portray the law, my own personal feelings and what was the right tone for our approach to our subject matter. My own circumstances have been difficult, but Lucy has not only provided legal advice, she has been there to provide encouragement and enthusiasm when circumstances were difficult - It is absolutely fair to say, different solicitors have wildly different approaches; Some are more focused on law, mediation and middle ground others seem more aggressive in their approach - Lucy most definitely has a balanced approach to every single circumstance, regardless of the attitude and approach of the opposing solicitor.

The fees were set out before I decided to enlist in the services offered by BBL Family Law, they were transparent and very reasonable for the service I received - Lets face it, no solicitor is cheap but being given clear and decisive prices, coupled with prompt billing and clarity makes it easier to budget for.

I cannot recommend BBL Family Law, and more specifically Lucy Steele enough - I would use their services again, should the need arise.
