Many thanks to Chloe and Emma who really went the extra mile in helping us secure our first house. It was always going to be a bit of stretch to secure our house before Christmas given the timescale, but thanks to their help this became reality and left us feeling we made the right choice in having them on our side. I don’t understand all these good reviews. The buyer of our house used these solicitors and they were painfully slow. Ended up taking over 6 months for a simple sale

I had a disappointing experience with Brearley Solicitors in Brighouse. The solicitors I worked with, Chloe and Emma, were either inexperienced or overworked, and inefficient. Chloe was responsive to our emails, as the bare minimum. But as soon as the case got complex, she never provided us with any guidance or advice. Instead, we were forced to come up with our own ideas, which was frustrating and stressful. When I presented my ideas to her, she never commented on them. It is clear she is inexperienced and wasn't very knowledgeable.

Her assistant Emma didn't bother to respond to any of our emails whilst Chloe was on her annual leaves, leaving us without support or updates. I felt that they were overworked and lacked the expertise or time management skills in handling my conveyancing needs. I regret not doing my research and relying on the estate agent's recommendation. I've since found a more experienced solicitor who is charging less and providing better service. I would not recommend Brearley Solicitors to others, you will be charged more for sub par service and experience. Don't waste your time and money using them.

Thank you to Chloe and Emma for helping us complete our house sale/purchase. They were very responsive by phone and email (they would even call back if they saw my missed call without me leaving a message). Compared to the other solictors in our chain, they were a dream to work with. Chloe was especially great at chasing the other solictors when things became tight for time and would keep us updated and reassured along the way.

If you go with Brearley’s, I’d certainly ask to have Chloe looking after you.
