Food is great as always. Coffee is most probably the best this side of Italy. What's not to like? Helpful staff. Good selection of food and cake. Just go here and you will not be disappointed. I'm about to go on a verbose monologue ....

This cafe, which is dog friendly, has a very pleasant atmosphere. The coffee is good. The choice of cakes is rather limited but the the quality of what is on offer is high. The service was also very good. There are no toilets but loos are available just around the corner in the main car park

Nice coffee spot. Stylish, fresh modern feel. But lunched there recently and maybe it was an off day, but disappointed. Not as good as it used to be for sure. Crab Salad looked like an aperitif and had three leaves on it. Not really a crab salad tbh.

The Brook Gallery is a fabulous gem - lovely to visit in person situated as it is on the main street in Budleigh Salterton, just metres from the sea. The current exhibition is particularly special featuring artists I love such as Sandra Blow and Anthony Frost and newer artists I am getting to know, all inspired by references and links to St Ives.
I have also had the pleasure of seeing the Brook Gallery at Fresh Art and other exhibitions as well as browsing their lovely website.

This exciting gallery houses also a top notch coffee bar and cafe.
Beautiful pictures line the lovely decor in the cafe, which serves delicious food and drinks by the most pleasant and helpful staff

The Brook Gallery is a hidden gem featuring some of the best artwork available in the Uk.
A fantastic, well curated library of work you would be more likely to find in central London than east Devon.
The proprietor is hugely knowledgable and so engaged with her artists and able to source fantastic works .
Something to suit everyone’s taste and price points .
Definitely work an exstended visit.
