I wouldn't recommend Cound & Co if you're new to business and are looking for an accountant to tell you right from wrong.
When starting my business, I asked from the start to be given advice on all thing tax related; when and at what point should I be giving the figures, what accountancy package do they advise I use, all the key things I expected my accountant to take care of as I became busy with my my business, I trusted them and was wrong to do so. They informed me I had had to become VAT registered 2 months late which cost me a lot of money, and when I changed accountants they charged me £90+vat for filling in my details on 3 printed HMRC forms and sending them to me, an amount I would have disputed had they not have taken the money directly from money they were holding for me paid from HMRC.
All in all it seemed to me that Cound & Co aren't interested in the small business start ups as my new accountant spent 2 hours talking to me and running through how the tax system works and what best to do which is invaluable when you have not the time to do it yourself.

We use Quick Books and C&C are Quick Books experts, so for QB users connecting with these guys is a no brainer! Love the fact that if we have an issue, question or made an inputting error they can simply log onto your PC remotely and sort it out as we talk over the phone.

Knowledgeable, responsive, supportive…. And their bill won’t ruin your day either!
