Our beekeeping experience was wonderful. Ash is very knowledgeable and passionate about his bees. He breeds his own bees. We learnt so much and then spent time with the bees. Ash gently taking apart a hive, checking everything was well, finding the queen, Marigold, and encouraging us to take closer looks. It was wonderful and we continued chatting over tea and cake. We can highly recommend this experience.

Brilliant afternoon, really engaging chap who clearly loves his bees and encouraging others to get involved. Very quiet bees that are happy to have a load of humans poking around and looking in their hive, a real credit to his work. We'll definitely be looking into a full beginners course next year - highly recommend for anyone interested in an introduction to the fascinating and completely bonkers world of bees and beekeeping.

Spent a lovely afternoon with Ash learning all about the lives of bees, absolutely fascinating. Learnt so much and enjoyed seeing the new Queen bee in a hive and beautiful honeycomb. Ash’s knowledge and enthusiasm about bees is brilliant, with tea and cake topping off a great afternoon. Will definitely be booking further courses, thank you.

I genuinely can't recommend this enough. My son is autistic and was made to feel at ease instantly. The knowledge of bees was fantastic. My son adored looking into the hives and interacting with the bees. The horses were a bonus, too!

An amazing experience with Ash. Very passionate and knowledgeable. Asked so many questions which he was more than happy to answer. Meeting the bees in a safe environment was very special having previously been very wary of them! It's a shame I live so far away otherwise I would certainly book a beginners course with him. 100% recommend Ash and Dartmoor Beekeeping. Keep up the great work!

What an amazing day. Went into the course with literally no knowledge. After ash has thoroughly taught you all aspects of beekeeping I feel completely confident to start my hive. Very intence at first but wow I'm hooked. I cant wait to become a keeper of this amazing world of bees.
