I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the notarial services provided by Derrick Bridges & Co in managing two successions. Despite 7 years having elapsed since the passing of our first parent in April 2017, we find ourselves in February 2024 with no resolution in sight, and our inheritance remains undistributed.

The protracted delay in concluding these two successions is not only frustrating but also reflects poorly on the competence and professionalism of Derrick Bridges & Co. We entrusted Derrick Bridges with the responsibility of handling the legal aspects of our parents' estates, expecting a timely and efficient process. However, the persistent lack of progress has left us deeply disappointed and disillusioned.

Attempts to communicate and seek updates from Derrick Bridges & Co have proven futile, and the lack of transparency surrounding the status of the proceedings only adds to our frustration. It is disconcerting that, after such an extended period, we are still grappling with unresolved matters that should have been settled years ago.

The undue delay has caused significant emotional and financial strain on our family, impacting our ability to move forward and properly honor our parents' wishes. We urge Derrick Bridges to promptly address these outstanding issues and expedite the distribution of the inheritance.

This experience has left us with a profound sense of dissatisfaction and regret for having chosen Derrick Bridges & Co as our legal representative. We hope that by sharing our concerns, others may be cautioned and encouraged to thoroughly assess the competence and reliability of their chosen notary before engaging in such crucial matters.

We were unfortunately recommend this practice. Sarah was initially quite competent. She went on maternity leave, the locum was incompetent, then sacked to be replaced by another incompetent. Who again charged for reviewing the case that the practice should have covered. I spoke to the head partner, got the brush off. Yes COVID didn't help but after 3 years and over £20,000 and numerous barristers we lost the case with the judge saying it was a travesty and should not have ended like it did. Sarah came back but she couldn't really make up for the incompetence that went before. My son has now not seen his daughter for over 4 years. This was partly down to COVID but I would guess 80% down to a completely incompetent practice. Please stick to selling houses and leave family law to others.
If anyone from the practice reads this, we are still waiting for a case summary to show our granddaughter when she hopefully comes looking for her father.

Every time I called, I was met with a friendly welcome and on the 2 times that I needed to attend the office, I was very well treated. He looked after us in a very professional yet friendly approachable manner. Nothing was too much trouble for him especially as some questions took time to get answers due to one if us being located in Australia. He was always very to the point amd offered various explanations to things from different angles. He fought a long hard battle for us and we got an outcome that we are happy with and can now move on with our lives.
