Really disappointing experience despite the brilliant reviews which made me choose DSA. I called prior to Christmas to request a quote and visit for a visual inspection of some cracks that had recently appeared in a newly purchased house. Quote wasn't received due to misspelling of my name (which I put down to genuine human error and nothing more). I managed to resolve this early January and arrange the appointment at a £720.00 price-tag!
Appointment day came and the in-person visit was for around 20 mins, the person unfortunately didn't really seem that interested in the concerns I had, but on reflection I took this as something quite positive and reassuring that my concerns were not actually anything to worry about, even though my walls have suddenly all cracked without any reason! The cracks are widespread including walls where no refurbishment / renovation work had been done... very strange.
2 and half weeks on now and I have heard nothing, no comms, no report, no follow up. Chased today and hoping that DSA can put this right or at least refund some of the huge price tag for a 20 min nosey around my house and nothing else.

I was very impressed with the work that DSA did for our extension. The engineers report was very thorough and when we had to change the design, they were able to work with us to achieve the result we needed.

We were very impressed with their professionalism, communication and willingness to help.

I would happily use them again.

I chose to call DSA based partly on their Google Reviews, and I am pleased now to add another 5 star review, as the advice and information received was excellent. On the couple of occasions I have called the office, they have been very helpful and a surveyor has come back to me the same day. Whilst on this occasion it appears that we do not require a party wall agreement for our particular build, we wouldn't hesitate in using or recommending DSA in the future. We would like to say a big "thank you" to Neil for his time and advice - it is very much appreciated.

Don't use this company for any services, the level of incompetence is beyond belief. They operate with a discriminatory policy and are corrupt. After working on my home for 20 months, they left us with a damaged home. I would give zero stars if it was possible. They did everything in their powers to contribute to further damages to my home, then when questioned they would lie and ignore any requests for help. All solutions provided and put in place never worked. Please avoid this company or you will regret it.

David Smith Associates were recommended by our builders to provide the structural engineering drawings and calculations for our renovation. All contact with the office and the engineer was very pleasant and efficient managing to provide revisions at short notice and helping us to resolve an issue with building control. Highly recommend!

Terrible service... Immediately adding ££££ before even starting, mis quoting from the start and very unclear about how to get the job done. Attempting to charge us after the fact for a casual chat about a future project whilst "attempting" to measure up the job in hand. NOT IMPRESSED.
