Ill-informed hacks. Don’t use them if you want to pay the right taxes and not be screwed.

Not only did I have to re-do my tax filings because the numbers were off (basically negating the need for accountants to begin with), but they marked my self assessment as not needing to have payment on account, without telling me that I need to update HMRC if my situation changed. I told them when I hired them that I don’t have tax knowledge which is why I was hiring them in the first place. Well, when I came to do my next self assessment I was charged an extra £751 in late penalties by HMRC because I didn’t have payment on account.

To add insult to injury, they kept sending me automated emails with self assessment forms at £0 asking me to sign them, so I replied to one saying that I had already filed it and complained about the late penalties I had been charged. A super uninformed person called Boubacar gave me a call and told me I didn’t need to file self assessment anyway because not everyone that makes more than £100K has to file one. So, they don’t even know the tax rules. I have this in email from him too.

Seriously, don’t trust these people. They also gave me bad advice initially and told me to register as a sole trader and then later changed it to a limited company, meaning more work for absolutely no reason.

I have used Duport Associates for several years, when I needed to set up a company. From holding a company to formation and so many other services, they have been incredibly helpful and professional. They really are excellent at what they do. I dealt with Jade quite a lot and she always provided exactly what was needed and responded quickly with everything. Would highly recommend.

I had a complex problem on my laptop that was affecting my email account.
Not being particularly tech savvy myself, Michelle was very patient in taking me through the maze of procedures until stayed with it until the problem was completely resolved.
This is not the first time that I have been so impressed with the level of professionalism and customer service that Duport offers.

Be very very wary of this company and use it at your own risk. Last year March 2022 I made a purchase to use their Registered Business Office Address. I didn't receive Business Mail. Nothing. The Contract is legally binding and if the service has not fulfilled its requirements by Sales of Goods Act and Consumer Law. Contract Law it must reimburse the customer. They then Lied to a Government Official saying that I had been using the business name when clearly HMRC can prove that I had not been trading of any kind of business nor was there any activity commencing. They have not returned my money so now its theft by deception a criminal offence.

Also stating that I needed a alternative Registration Address this shouldn't matter to them if I have one or not as they do not have any business interests in my company nor are they shareholders because I don't need any shareholders nor a board of directors.
No active roles at all. Only myself as the director until I see fit of whom I shall run my company.

I purchased or what I hoped would have been in good faith a transaction for a Registed Business Office Address due to being Business Business. It comes to light that I was told I couldn't use the service for my multiple companies and my details sent to companies house which now comes to light wasn't the case and they lied to companies house too. Being a single parent and the cost of living crisis the cost doesn't come cheap at £119 and to be deceptive and lie. They rip you off and once your money is in Duport Associates LTD its gone. If don't know your consumer law they leave you with nothing even after speaking with staff members twice about the actual transaction. Gladly I do and I shall be making a example of them. The experience I won't need to go through again lessons learn and I hope my experience serves as a warning to anybody else wanting to use their services. Stay away from this Business.

My company is set up through Duport and it is currently dormant. I file dormant company accounts every year, and they so kindly answer my questions over the phone should I get stuck when filing them online. They are incredibly helpful and polite. I will have no hesitation in, when I do go fully 'live', returning to them for their services. I thoroughly recommend them.
