Do not even think of trying to rent a room with this company, they are not professional at all, I was attended by Michael J. Paddon and apart from his lack of professionalism for not meeting the deadlines that he himself set, he wanted to rent a house that was not furnished even though the advert said it would be, I made it clear the day I went to see the house that I was in a hurry because I had to leave the house I was in and he said there were no problems, that the furniture would be ready for the day of the move, which did not happen. In conclusion, look for any other property that has nothing to do with this company, otherwise you will regret it. Enjoy the £150 and I hope they make you rich Michael ?.

Awful!

I applied to rent 28 Severn St. off this company. Payed my holding deposit and after this they tried to change the rental amount from £99 bill included to £120 bills included. When quizzed on it he claimed they advertised right. I then showed them there advertisement on spare room which confirmed what I was saying. He then started to acknowledge fault. He then got shirty when I said I wasn’t willing to pay the extra £20 a week and would like a refund and this resulted in getting hung up on and blocked.

do not use! Dodgy fraudulent company.

Also Miriam works for them ?. So I assume no one has put 5 stars for them apart from themselves.

Do not rent from these people! I lived in a rental property managed by this company and they were awful. Several things were broken we we moved in and despite reporting them on the day that we moved they repeatedly tried to blame us for breaking then. After moving in and signing our contracts they emailed us with additional responsibilities and things that they wanted us to do which were not detailed in our rental contracts and weren't happy when I said I wouldn't do these things as the responsibilities weren't listed in our rental contracts.

The agency employees regularly turned up to the house uninvited and without giving the required notice, I once came home and found a repair person from the agency had let himself into my bedroom without my permission and without notifying us that they would be at the house.

The agency employees werw also very very rude to us and constantly sent us emails criticising our characters calling us rude and unreasonable and all sorts of other things when we politely expressed that we were unhappy.

The agency will also try to charge you for anything they can. In summary they are rude and all they care about is money, they have no respect or regard for their tenants. I moved out as soon as I could.

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!

My friends and I reserved a student property, 59 Croft Street, with Elements Built in November and proceeded to pay a £456 deposit. They have a policy which requires the guarantor and identification details to be provided within a 15 day period after the deposit, at which point they retain the holding deposit and the house gets put back on the market. We provided the required details within the 15 day period, but that was when the problems started.

The company began looking for any excuse to retain the deposit and the house, falsely claiming that photographed income statements were not legible and passwords for income statements had not been provided, despite the fact that they had been emailed weeks earlier.

Around 20 days after we payed the initial deposit, we unexpectedly received an automated email informing us that the house had been offered to another interested party and that the holding deposit would be retained. After 2 frustrating days of ringing up and not being able to speak to someone who knew what was going on, a man named Mike Paddon, who was dealing with our property, eventually got in contact. He was cold and unpleasant, and confirmed what had been said in the automated email as he had deemed that one of our guarantors was not suitable.

My guarantor then rang Mr Paddon up and he eventually agreed to repaying the deposit if the other interested party proceeded with the property within the 15 day period. However, over the next month they persistently ignored our emails in an attempt to shake us off until today when they sent an email confirming their initial stance, with no mention of the other tenants proceeding with the property.

I can understand why the policy is in place but we complied with Elements Built at every stage, and they knew full well that we intended to proceed with the property. It is one thing having a legal right to retain money but this business treats its customers in an unacceptable manner, especially considering the significant amount of money we would have been investing in them. Mr Paddon was extremely unprofessional and treated it like a dodgy business deal whilst anyone else who answered the phone was completely useless.

This business is there to take advantage of its customers, avoid it at all costs.
