I started my journey with Fidler & Pepper having little to no faith in conveyancers or solicitors at all following several ordeals previously regarding house sales and purchases however I can honestly say they have fully restored my faith.

Michelle and Sam have been nothing short of absolute gems. Every single query I had was answered promptly, diligently and in a way I could understand. They went out of their way to help me and I honestly cannot thank them enough.

I would absolutely recommend and will be returning in the future!

I used this company's services for the conveyancing of my new property. From the start they were able to provide a quick and efficient service, and responded to queries very quickly. The app that they use also makes things much easier as it is well laid out. Buying your first home is a daunting experience as I was not knowledgeable about the process, but Fidler and Pepper made this process seem a lot easier. Would definitely recommend.

*AVOID*. We have recently purchased a property using F&P as our solicitors. Our experience with F&P was troubling from the beginning. We were told to fill in our details on their app and completed the form within hours of receiving it. We messaged them twice to let them know that we could not sign the form due to there being a space for a third person that we could not fill in (there's only 2 of us) or delete (no option to do so). Nothing was done to resolve this. Little did we know, they did not start doing anything towards the purchase of our house for 2 months due to this app error.
We quickly saw that it is near impossible to get a response from these solicitors. We would call often, but could never get through to anyone other than the receptionist. Not once. We regularly sent emails that remained unanswered.
The house purchase should have been straight forward as we were not in a chain. However, we were frequently having sleepless nights of stress due to the problems that arose due to the lack of contact from these solicitors. Our seller was becoming very angry at us for the delay and decided to charge us £1000 more.
Our completion date was finally set, almost 6 months from when we first began. And so began 2 weeks of trying to ask if there was anything we needed to do prior to completion, with no response. The solicitors had already said they were charging £75 to take my Lifetime ISA out so I was under the impression that they were sorting it. Then, 2 working days before the completion date, I was emailed by the solicitor telling me they "think" I need to get the Lifetime ISA out myself. I contacted the ISA company and was told it takes 3 working days to get a form, then up to 30 days for the ISA to be released. Luckily they expedited my request, but safe to say we missed the first completion date.
Interestingly, we were then told 5 days later that the mortgage money has now been released to the solicitor. One would have presumed that that would be done to correspond with the completion date.
Finally, a new completion date was set. An automatic email told us that the sale should be complete by 2pm, and to put the bubbly on ice. It didn't feel like a celebration as I nervously waited. 2pm came and went without a word from the solicitors. Of course I tried to phone them and didn't get through. Eventually we were told by our estate agent that the sale was complete and we've never heard from the solicitors again!

On the whole, we found the service to be good. We worked primarily with Natalie then Lyndsey and Naomi at the end.

The app worked fine on the whole but can be a bit rudimentary. Still, it's good to see all the bits happening and getting copies of documents sent directly to you.

We found them marginally difficult to get through to at times, but they would call us back and answer any questions we had. They are busy people, especially just before Christmas so we understand.

I guess our only "gripe" is having the change in solicitor without being told, just made it hard to know who to contact at times and meant that we had to help the new solicitor by filling them in on info and what had been agreed by the previous one. Not the end of the world, but just meant that if we hadn't of been so on it, our case could've been delayed as our last solicitor wasn't aware of our completion date until I said. However, I understand things get missed when you are covering and it all worked out in the end.

I am a Mortgage Adviser and have just used Fidler & Pepper for my client's re-mortgage. Marissa Huffen has been outstanding
from start to finish!

I instructed Fidler & Pepper to act on behalf of my clients on 16th October and asked if there was any chance we could complete on 1st November, as my clients were worried about coming out of the fixed rate and going onto the lender's standard variable rate. I knew this was a long shot but thought I'd ask.

Marissa has pulled out all of the stops, and made sure that it completed on time.

I recently instructed Fidler & Pepper to act on behalf of my client who was completing a remortgage with additional borrowing (I am a Mortgage Adviser) From the very beginning of dealing with Taylor Marshall it has been a seamless process, Taylor has always been on hand to answer any questions we had very quickly and efficiently, from me submitting the mortgage application and instructing solicitors to the mortgage completing it took 4 weeks and 1 day! This is brilliant for my clients as they had fallen onto their lenders variable rate of 7.34%. I have in all my life never encountered such a smooth, slick, and sensible conveyancing service. The app is brilliant as you know exactly there you are at and what forms are needed. But more than this, my designated conveyancer Penny Gribbins and her assistant Nichola Hyslop, along with Taylor Marshall, went out of their way to help in a tricky situation to get the job done; always friendly, helpful, kind, and patient. Communication was fantastic, I always got an answer when I called on the phone, or emailed. Simply wonderful, I wouldn't use anyone else.
