I have worked professionally with the guys at Fullform on many different product design projects over the years in my role at Evolution Power Tools as a Product Designer & Senior project manager.
We have taken many products all the way through from market research, competitor analysis, reverse engineering, initial product ideation, full concept development from sketch renders all the way through full detailed CAD models and 3D renderings. We have also worked with Fullform in DFM processes and manufacturing support including several overseas trips over many years for both research and development projects in the USA and mass production development and support on the ground with our design and QA teams at many of our suppliers in China.
The working relationship has always been excellent, Matthew and the team collaborate very well with our designers and engineers, this has led to us forming lasting relationship both professionally and personally.
Fullform bring a wealth of knowledge, particularly in plastic injection moulding and specialist polymers when we have had challenging design briefs and cost prices to hit.
The product ranges that Fullform have supported Evolution with over a period of 8 years or so have become the basis of our core range of products. This includes Mitre saw, Circular saw and metal Chopsaw saw families, and then through into concept development of Concrete saws and more recently the aesthetic design of our latest Tablesaw family.
These projects came with briefs which included reducing of part counts, minimising packaging dimensions and reducing manufacturing steps/processes to aid not only in lower cost products but also a higher level of accuracy and quality for the end user.
We also shared in the winning of a REDDOT Design award in 2018 for the first project we collaborated on back in 2015/16, this was a great honour and validation of the great work Fullform completed with Evolution Power Tools.
