Fantastic wee shop, perfect for Christmas gifts especially if you are fed up of the generic rubbish, just had some jewellery repaired at a very reasonable cost and was able to purchase a few gifts at the same time, staff are lovely too.

Gallery 53 is such a lovely shop, the staff are incredibly welcoming nothing is too much. There is beautiful cards and gifts for every occasion. I went in there with some old family jewellery and after a chat it was discussed that maybe we could reuse my grandmas platinum wedding ring to make my engagement ring. The result was magical , a truly sentimental individual piece . Thank You

Popped into Gallery 53 Devon & Cornwall for a last minute gift. Fantastic friendly service and came away with some lovely earrings for my daughter. Also managed to pick up some helium foil balloons at the same time which lasted for weeks. Great shop, great service, will be back for the next family celebration gift and balloons.

DO NOT USE GALLERY 53 FOR ANY WATCH REPAIRS!!
The ‘winding’ stalk(for want of a better word) on my 1966 Omega Seamaster gentleman’s watch had got stuck in the out position and I took it in to Gallery 53 to be fixed.
There was no indication given by the assistant that it would be sent away and for how long, the lack of communication was astounding.
After about a week I phoned up the shop to be told that they were waiting for the repairer to give them an estimate. When I received the estimate it was for well over £300.00! When I questioned the price I was told it was for a service and parts. Firstly I never asked for my watch to be serviced and the price seemed too steep. I asked for my watched not to be touched and to be returned it’s original state. When I collected it last Thursday (16th November after nearly 3 1/2 weeks!) the first thing I noticed is that the winder had been pushed in and it had jammed in place.
Whom ever Gallery 53 has as their watch repairer should not, in my opinion, be allowed to do anything other than replace batteries and watch straps!
I have since found a fully qualified repairer who specialises in repairing top end watches. I have asked for a report to be done on whether there has been any damage done by your repair person jamming the winder back in, if found both the report and the bill for putting it right will be sent to you in due course.

I recently took a Tissot watch in to have a new battery fitted. I was told it was not the battery,but their watch repairer would give me an estimate for repair. The estimate came back at £110,which was more than I was prepared to pay. I collected the watch and took it to another repairer ,who fitted a new battery and the watch is working perfectly. I would advise against using this shop for any watch issues

I entered the shop and waited and waited, then I had to call for assistance, which did arrive. However I then asked if they could push the backplate of a watch back into place. They said yes and the woman proceeded to do this, it took seconds. The woman then told me that the cost was a standard cost for battery replacement and replacing of the back plate. The charge was £10 which is extortionate. I did not receive a battery as I had only asked for the backplate to be pushed back. I only realised, on my way home that I hadn't received the battery of which surely I was entitled. The woman saw a way of making a 'fast buck'!
A poor service, a rip off service and one shop which I will not be visiting again. Incidentally, I went to Timpsons repair shop on my way home and was told that they would have done it free of charge, now that is customer service and I will support them in future. Your loss Gallery 53, pure greed will not be tolerated.
The shop has replied to me to say that they did fit a new battery, I maintain that I saw no evidence of this and had no conversation with the shop assistant about this.
