When I was first contacted by Goodman Nash advising me that they could obtain a substantial refund on my business rates payment I thought it was a scam. After further consideration, I decided to give it a try, but as I had already spoken to the Local Authority about trying to get a rates reduction I did not have high expectations. I could not believe it when less than 2 months after completing the application my local authority advised me they were providing a full refund of my past 3 years ratest. Having previously been approached numerous times by a variety of companies offering to reclaim overpaid business rates, I was naturally sceptical about yet another unsolicited approach. But having been pretty much 'abused' by our local authority, I wanted to seek some kind of revenge and reimbursement for associated losses we had incurred.
Having done a little due diligence in looking at their reviews and case studies and also having made enquiries with other companies, I opted to go with Simon and the team at Goodman Nash. There was just something that set them aside and gave me that confidence.
Several weeks later and after a polite nudge to see how things were going, we received notification from our local Council of the rebate that ran into the tens of thousands! Time to celebrate one of those little victories where the small guy wins.
Though the amount wasn't quite as high as had been hoped, it was still hugely appreciated having the funds back in safe hands and not squandered by incompetence within the local authority. Goodman Nash tell me there is still some hope that further monies might be recoverable.
