I sold my cottage through Hamptons in Great Missenden (and bought an apartment through their Maidenhead office). Being a very old house, my property probably wasn't the easiest to sell, but the service I received was excellent - nothing was too much trouble, my contact there (Claire Baker) was unfailingly kind, helpful and polite as, indeed, were all her colleagues. My calls were always promptly returned and Claire successfully negotiated the sale and completion of my cottage, whilst keeping me informed at all times and calming me down when things became a bit stressful (as they can do in these situations).

I was extremely impressed with their service, and have recommended them to other friends and neighbours who are thinking of moving house.

Gary Hammond and Claire Baker did a great job for us selling a thatch cottage recently. For us it had been a holiday home, so it had to be regularly inspected and especially equipped for fire and/or equipment failure. We live in the States. There were also issues related to boundaries, most of which we'd resolved. These meant complications, but we found Hamptons were up to the challenges - practical, international and local. They also made special arrangements for the elderly buyer so everything could be processed smoothly.
