Conveyancing solicitors often get a raw deal, and after recently using Headleys I know why!
I would wholeheartedly NOT recommend Headleys for conveyancing. Communication is almost zero, my emails were deleted without being read (aways ask for a read receipt!); explanations frequently contradicted fact/truth; it took 5 weeks to send for searches...I could go on and on. The only saving grace was a locum solicitor called Granville who finally got things past the post and was extremely helpful.
Headleys made the whole experience of moving extremely stressful.
I recommend using anyone else!

Chantelle is hopeless,7 weeks to send the sales pack and then lied about it, 4 weeks to send an email ) then had the cheek to backdate the actual date on the letter when she sent it to try and make out that she had sent previously.
Everything required took forever.
(in which time my mortgage offer had ran out)

Very slow processing time. They go on holidays without notifying clients. Nor they transfer files to other colleagues while they are on long holidays. Email replies are slow. Can’t get them on phone.
I lost initial payment because of cancelled deal due to their slow processing time. Lost a good property as the seller got pissed off due to their non commitment on timelines. Will never go back to them and please get the timeline commitment before you pay them.

I would not recommend Headleys for conveyancing. During my house purchase communication in particular was very poor. The process took far too long for a simple chain free purchase and I had to make multiple complaints throughout the process without resolution or apology.
Their poor service caused me a multitude of related issues which could have been easily avoided. I eventually raised an Ombudsman complaint who agreed with myself confirming Headleys poor service during this process.

Very poor service from Headleys solicitors.
If you want a solicitor who will waste your time, money and will try to make you feel inferior when you voice your concerns and disappointment, then I recommend you use Headleys solicitors.
I have never had a 'professional' speak to me in the manner they did. They are very unprofessional and disrespectful to clients.

Emails get ignored, calls are never returned, phones are not answered.
When you query what the hold ups are or what work has been done, they cannot provide any answers and blame everyone else, even the client.

The worst solicitor I have ever dealt with. Please do not waste your time with them, it is not worth the stress.
I have instructed a new solicitor now and I hope others will learn from my mistake.
