Lovely old-fashioned service, from the initial enquiry to the Level 3 survey to the follow-up phone call to make sure I was happy with what they'd done. I now understand exactly what needs doing in the house I'm buying, including what's a priority and what can wait. Paid to have a single expert valuation report back in October of this year. The survey was done at the end of October. We are in December. Still no report chased it up a couple of times keeps promising to have the report sent still waiting .How does it take over a month to do a report. All other reviews that provided positive feedback are bots in my opinion I wouldn’t ever have them do any work for us ever again. Wouldn’t even ask them to value the water in my bath tub. Absolutely ridiculous and terrible service. Will be telling everyone I know never use this company.

Now Bill is claiming is defamatory that write a negative review. Just showcases the truth in the matter hurts.

Stand by my statement and you have to prove defamation.

Freedom of speech in the uk is a fundamental right. If you are not happy with that I would advise you to take it up with the government.

We asked Holdens to conduct a level 3 survey on a house we were purchasing. The buyers of our own house had a level 3 survey conducted by another firm and they made the report available to us. I compared the two reports and the one provided by Holdens was much more detailed and more comprehensive on the whole.

I did compare fees before giving the instruction and it seems that the fee charged by Holdens is in line with the market rate. The time it took for Holdens to conduct the survey and provide the report was a few days longer than the other firm but they had made me aware of their timescales beforehand.

After sales service was also good in that they responded to my queries by email.

My only gripe was that they hadn't made me aware that the level 3 survey didn't include a valuation by default. There was an additional fee for this service. I only came to realise this when I was researching surveys online. I would advise Holdens to make this point clear to clients before they book a survey.

On the whole, I would recommend Holdens Chartered Surveyors.

Had a level 3 survey completed on a house I'm currently on the process of buying. From the minute I rang to ask for some assistance Kate, took a look at the property and recomended which survey would suit and e mailed the information about the different surveys so I could make an informed decision. There was no pressure to go with Holdens, no constant barrage of calls. The survey was carried out within the week and the report was emailed to me within 7 days. I rang and spoke to Bill, the surveyor who carried out my survey and even though was he was away took time to talk me through the survey, what it meant, the ratings and what I should do next. He was even able to suggest some contracts that could help. Excellent service, professional, knowledgeable and really friendly staff who are willing to help and would highly recommend Holdens.

Definitely would recommend. Very detailed report done and when I asked for a follow up call from the surveyor I received a call promptly and they gave more clarification on a few points that were raised by the report.
