Always short-staffed, unhelpful, unable/unwilling to handle any request outside of simple stamp purchases, and they always look annoyed that someone has come into the shop for Post Office service!
You better off making the quick trip down the road to Wickham post office.

Good luck finding it open, their opening hours on Google do not match their actual opening hours. Sign up saying closed for two hours over lunch which is when most people need the post office.
You’re better off going to a different post office.

2 years ago I had an awful confrontation with the post master here. He is so rude for no reason, i really think he must be mentally unstable. I made an official complaint to royal mail and spoke to the hedge end staff about him. It's well known locally that he is a massive problem but for some reason management won't get rid of him. The money they must be losing from lost custom would surely be reason enough to give him the boot. I avoid using this post office at all costs.

Visited at 1pm on a Saturday afternoon and there was a sign on the door saying
"We are closed today sorry for the inconvenience." Useless.

I have just had a major operation and asked my husband to go to the post office!
The Lady serving him with cash was lovely

But, man well never known anything like it my husband said the ignorant, rude man almost aggressive attitude nearly got told to *** off how the lady kept her concentration impressive my husband otherwise my husband would of had.

The man ranting on when my husband left was found out side having a Costa…!
If it was me it would put me off for ever! It’s for sure we will now use another Post office in future shame as it’s our local
He told my husband he should gone to his own bank and a number of times my husband replied “I have already been to my bank”
My husband absolutely did nothing to up set him.

I feel sorry for people that can’t drive and have to come across him in future some elderly my only see post office staff on their only one trip out a week!

The service at this post office is abominable. The postmaster is consistently rude and acts like he is doing you an enormous favour simply by doing his job. He told my young sister they would no longer be selling 2nd class stamps. He was so rude to my mother just because she wanted to exchange a 20 euro note for two 10s he made her cry. Obviously the task was so difficult for him he had to shout at her. Just awful, clearly never heard of customer service. I will never go here again

Like mentioned in other reviews, the postmaster in this post office is extremely rude. I have complained 4x to Royal Mail and all they do is make excuses for him. The fact they think there is an online witch hunt against the Post Office is ridiculous, people are complaining for a reason.. resolve it! If your not customer facing then find a suitable job that doesn't require you to be. The rest of the staff in this branch are lovely, they along with the local community shouldn't have to put up with it.
