As soon as we made it clear that we didn't want a simple box extension stuck onto the side of our house they lost interest.

Nearby houses of the same original deeign as ours had interesting angles and shapes to their extensions but it seemed as though Lark lacked the ability or the inclination to be bothered to put any effort in.

Looking at other house extensions in the local area designed by Lark this would appear to be a common trend. The new Smithy Fold development in Kildwick is another example of lazy designing with minimal effort. The houses are unimaginative, slab sided and the typical house a child would draw.

Its a real shame for the local community as these developments have a significant visual impact on the areas we live.
