I have been working with Laura for the past 6 months and she has truly been exceptional. From our very first session, she made me feel at ease and comfortable to talk about my thoughts and feelings. Laura is an excellent listener, and her insights have been incredibly valuable. It can be difficult discussing certain areas of your life but Laura made me feel comfortable and has helped me view things from different perspectives and I have left the sessions thinking about things in a new light.
As a result of our sessions, I feel more confident and empowered. I highly recommend Laura, she is truly great at what she does 🙂

I am unbelievably grateful I came across Laura. She guided me through a very tough situation, gave incredible amounts of support and also, pulled me up when I needed to hear something I may not have thought about. From this grew so much trust. It’s lovely to have someone there to listen to you, but a person to also have enough genuine care to want to help you grow is not something/ someone you come across often.
Laura picked up on little things that no one had ever noticed before, encouraging me to dig deeper into situations I’ve not previously dealt with.
With the help of Laura I’ve healed parts of me I didn’t even realise needed healing, I’ve grown as a woman and handled battles I never thought I could have.

From being an absolute wreck and being at the worst I have ever been. Being introduced to Laura most likely saved my life. She helped me work through my brain and point out the things that I need to change and work on. I am a completely different person with better views and opinions. Got me to learn to love myself and take care of my health. From going through quite a terrible breakup to now better and loving every second of my life …. I couldn’t recommend Laura any more she is such a calm, collected, brilliant therapist. She definitely helps!!!!

Our situation was fairly unique. We came to Laura for couples counselling after losing ourselves after a tsunami of childhood cancer, child disability and life changing genetic diagnoses. We didn’t know which way was up, how to prioritise each other with the needs of our daughter, or how to find joy in anything. Laura was incredibly compassionate, kind and took all judgement away from us. She helped us to carve a new path back to ourselves and gave both of us an opportunity to really assert some self compassion and openly share our individual and joint fears and worries. Our situation can’t change, but our relationship has become stronger and more aligned due to seeing Laura and for that we are so thankful.

I have thought for a while as to whether to leave this review (several months have passed) as Laura has obviously had a wonderful impact on the people's lives that have left reviews to date and I am very pleased they have had that outcome.
Unfortunately I didn't have a wonderful outcome. I found Laura sometimes made very direct judgements that weren't accurate or supported by examples and they had negative impacts on us as a couple. One example would be Laura telling the two of us we had both 'bought the fight' that evening. I asked her how she felt I had done this as I hadn't felt that I had at all. I had to request for examples several times before she then took it back and said that, OK, I hadn't. The problem is that by then the damage is done - my partner had heard this and stuck to the fact that I always 'bought the fight' as much as him. This has a very harmful impact. It wasn't my only example and I feel more care over words is needed from Laura in such a sensitive area as counselling couples.
I'm sure Laura is wonderful for many people but personally I wouldn't be able to recommend her as a couple's counselor.

Laura was our last hope as a couple. We were in such a bad place that we even fought on the way to our first session. As a couple, we found it impossible to communicate. We are a few months in and couples counselling has given us a chance. A new appreciation for each other. Laura is always extremely real, kind and supportive but what sets her aside from others is that she cares. She just understands and you feel her empathy is genuine. From our first meeting I felt something with her that I haven’t experienced with anyone in her profession before and I have seen a few. Laura came into our lives at a very difficult time but I leave our sessions with a feeling of hope, self worth, reflection and love. She makes me want to be a better human/partner. I would recommend couples counselling to EVERYONE. Even if you have a good relationship, she definitely makes you appreciate each other ❤️
