Absolutely terrible solicitors. If you want an underhand bill a year after completion then be my guest and use them. Clearly no idea of what they’re doing in their accounts department and their mistakes cost me money 2 and a half years after completion. (That’s how long they have taken to ‘resolve’ this case)
I have only paid them after they threatened me with legal action and unfortunately I’m not in a position to pursue this legally - I guess they use this to their advantage.
Absolutely no attention was paid to my communication with them and my very clear case that I put forward that they were in the wrong. They were not bothered and my complaint (investigated internally) was not upheld (what a surprise).
Phone calls were not returned and months went by between threatening letters.
An underhand, incompetent business and I will ensure that nobody I know uses them in the future.

I used LDJ to sell a property to an investor. There was no chain and no removals involved. As far as I am aware the only thing that might make this a more complex transaction was that it was a lease hold property. I found communication to be slow throughout, despite me making it clear I wanted the sale to complete quickly. It regularly took 2 weeks to get a response and at one point when I could not get a reply by email or to telephone calls, I had to resort to using the "contact us" button on their web page to get some sort of reply. The whole transaction took 5 months to complete, during which time the buyer withdrew and I had to drop the price to keep the sale from falling through. After completion I raised a formal complaint, this was not responded to in the time frame set out in their complaints policy and I had to chase them to reply to me. My complaint was not uphelp and I took it to the second stage of their complaints policy for a review. This was not even acknowledged and again I had to chase for a responses. In both cases they found that the service I had received was not unduly slow and within timeframes they considered acceptable. Frankly I don't!

Incompetent. Took thousands of pounds of our money for a case that was impossible to win and they should have known it was impossible to win had they been competent. They then ignored complaints and requests for a refund .
