Lewis Denley failed us.
Due to their lack of attention to our case the sale could not conclude. Three times the exchange date had to be extended. The last occasion was the day before exchange.
The stress and anxiety due to their poor communication and ineptitude continues to resonate. Hence, the delay in the review.
We were forced to seek other solicitors, better established and more interested, who were able to assist us without any issues.
I do not and will not recommend them.

We received absolutely shocking service throughout our property sale and purchase. Our allocated solicitor (Petra) only worked part time and was impossible to get hold of - she made so many incompetent and basic mistakes that we had to ask for another person to deal with our case - which we were given however they were working from the Australian office! After completion we were chased for payment however they had not raised an invoice despite several chase up requests from our side. The final invoice was almost double their original quotation! 30 days after completion of the purchase we received a letter from HMRC stating that the stamp duty had not been paid and that interest had been charged - Lewis Denley had not paid our stamp duty to HMRC! This was eventually sorted out after the threat of contacting the SRA to complain and they agreed to pay the interest on our behalf. The only saving grace was that Genevieve in the office was incredibly polite, organised and well natured and always tried to help us - it is a shame that she does not have the support of her team around her.
