My name is Martin I got diagnosed with bpd back in 2012 I am on a continuous journey in life to become the best version of me I can be , my wife found the low cost counselling at Maidstone and suggested it would be good for me as she cares about issues I struggle with, my Councillor AMANDA has been excellent, since meeting with Amanda once a week my self awareness has accelerated and emotions and anger that have had the ability to take me into situations and negative outcomes have significantly been reduced which I am really thankful for , Amanda has an excellent understanding of my disorder and is very professional in helping me deal with it along with being very easy and honest to talk to ..its not always easy as a man to open up and be honest but it's been so beneficial to me and those around me , I waste money on all kinds of stuff I don't really need ( which is what we are currently addressing in counselling 😄) but attending counselling and implementing change in my life is worth every penny...Big thankyou to Amanda and the team...

Finding a counsellor to help and support you can be tricky but from the very first meeting with Ieva I felt supported, validated and respected. I started my journey with one thing in mind and it has morphed into something else but she has stuck with me, reflecting back what I have said, asking careful questions and gently guiding me and challenging me to think, pause and reflect. It is a very safe space and I am very grateful indeed for the service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the service. Thank you

This service is great for dealing with whatever problems you may face and learning appropriate coping mechanisms. Felicity specifically has been a huge help following my mental health journey. From day one of contacting Rebecca I received the valued support I need and felt at ease straight away.

It may sound clichéd, but I believe Becky genuinely cares about her clients. She puts you at ease straight away and will not pressure you to talk about anything you are uncomfortable with. It's so reassuring to feel comfortable, understood and listened to.

At times Becky has fitted me in for an extra appointment at short notice. On a few occasions she has gone above and beyond to urgently organise appointments for others I know who were in need of help.

Becky is kind, professional, friendly, a fantastic listener, as well as extremely reliable and obviously very good at her job. She has really helped me and I am extremely grateful to have her support.

I’ve been seeing Anna since May 2023 and can honestly say she helped saved my life. I agree with a previous review - it’s like a ‘mental health gym membership’. Knowing I have someone that I can report into each week, be honest with and tell my worries to with no judgment is worth every penny. And it’s affordable unlike some counselling practices! When I first started accessing Low Cost Counselling, I was on the verge of a huge breakdown through overworking, using unhealthy coping strategies & just generally bottling things up. I was having suicidal thoughts and struggling to make sense of myself/or sense of anything to be honest. Now I’m like a new human being! Clear-headed, focused, driven and most importantly… happy. I came to Low Cost Counselling after another mini-crisis when I realised that I needed professional, focussed outside help that could support me to build better strategies and capacity to manage my issues. I've been working with Anna for over a year. She has been fantastic in helping me to identify my triggers and patterns that were destructive, in helping me to give myself some compassion, and to build better coping strategies.
