Plans for my extension were drawn and submitted to a local authority for approval by this company. It took significantly longer than promised by excellent sales person Simon. So mediocre performance from the architect there, not worth a review.
However please be warned if you are looking for an architect who can recommend a builder or work together with a builder, then Magnus Technical Engineer, Magnus Architecture or any other Magnus is NOT the right company.
Builder recommended by the architects was presented as part of a GROUP, working with Magnus TE for ages and joining the forces as one big "happy" company.
Builders, let’s call them MAGNUS, failed to complete my project, took 97% of money and left family with two little children to live in the house without windows/doors, unstable floor, questionable gas work and potentially other issues for months before declaring their inability to finish the project.
Directors cowardly do not return my calls, and only point of contact is their lovely office manager, who is not very helpful.
Please avoid at all cost. And if Simon promises to get your build for n £££, add another 40% (if you are lucky), extra time to find anybody who wants to touch their unfinished work, extra £££ to rectify their errors, stress and anxiety and you might get your build complete.

We recently had designs drawn up by Magnus and instructed them to go ahead and apply for planning permission. Paid £2k so far and then it was silence until we saw these reviews and realised what's gone on. Seems like Justyn and Simon have an annual event where the company just disappears and they register a new one!!

After being disappointed with other architectural firms, we engaged Simon at Magnus Technical Engineering to help find a solution to much needed added space to our current home. From the very first meet (which was a Saturday morning), Simon was very professional and efficient. He listened to our thoughts, understood our vision and his design solution was nothing short of brilliant - both in form and function.

We were astounded at the way that Simon managed to effectively understand our brief, gauge our style and uncompromising standards and immediately provide options that were on-point. The plans produced were clear, concise and detailed to a extremely high standard.

In addition, Simon made us aware of improvements that we had not even considered; all of which will provide us with the WOW factor. All of the suggestions made are being embraced.

Nothing is too much trouble for Simon and his team at Magnus. We have an immense amount of respect for his talent, and that of his team. He is professional, punctual and accommodating and the whole design process has been seamless. We've enjoyed working with Simon so much, we've asked him to round off the whole process by instructing his firm to build our vision for us.

Went into liquidation in November with some of the promised steps laid out in our agreement left incomplete.

Took our money even though their rapidly spiralling finances would have made it obvious they might go bust before they delivered what they promised.

Only email we ever got from director Justyn was asking us for a payment. Now we know why he was in such a rush.

Having to take the work they did provide to another architect to verify its quality.

Originally met Simon who seemed completely professional and understood what we wanted to accomplish. We were then handed over to another architect who over ran on all our plans, delayed responses to a fortnight after much chasing, refused to do what we'd asked dragging the process out much longer than necessary which delayed our works.
We were also recommended to use their builders, these people destroyed our home and cost us thousands in repairs, it took for us to take legal action before they would even reply and begin to recoup any of our costs.

Utter nightmare, avoid at all costs!

We hired Magnus to design our first floor rear and side extensions. They were great throughout the whole process and everything was done quickly and efficiently. We are very happy with the work they have done for us and would happily recommend them to anyone.

Same story I’m afraid. Paid for plans etc and now cannot get any answer. I understand that companies are going out of business but they were more than happy to quote me for the extension as recently as 4 weeks ago and would of happily taken my deposit despite the fact they knew they were in trouble. Paid just over 1k but feel we have almost had a lucky escape when I see what they have done to some other people. DO NOT TRUST them. I have Justin’s mobile if anyone wants it.

As described in previous comments the builders they recommend are to be avoided at all costs. Poor quality workmanship with the workmen told to take longer to inflate cost. A flood occurred 2 days before Christmas and £15k worth of damage caused. Builders continually liquidate and no one takes responsibility. Avoid Magnus
