The few sessions I had with the lovely Sandy and her beautiful horse were deeply profound and meaningful for me, something I will always remember. I would go as far as saying it was a spiritual and enlightening encounter for me. I have always been nervous of horses but admired them from afar. Sandy helped me over this in a gentle and encouraging way and the experience of being in close proximity to her beautiful horse was just awesome. Sandys unique mix of talking, equine, nature and creative therapy makes this experience like no other. I gained personal insight and understanding aswell as a deeper connection with the natural world. I cannot recommend highly enough.

This really was a calming and healing experience. I am so glad to have had care from someone so professional and kind. I would advocate for the Equine therapy for anyone even if you have never spent time with horses before - sandy has such a relationship with her animals that you will feel so incredibly safe and being outdoors in such a wonderful surrounding felt so holistic. I chose to have this care following a bereavement and would consider this again in the future - I would also highly recommend Sandy for positive communication outside of the session when I initially contacted her - do not hesitate to just enquire if you feel the need .

I’ve seen Sandy weekly for the last year and honestly never thought I’d be in the place I am today prior to seeing her. I was made to feel comfortable, was never pushed to talk or to be open about things I wasn’t ready to talk about, was always given time and patience, there was no judgement at all and I just all round couldn’t recommend Sandy enough. For someone who takes a very very long time to feel comfortable around people, I was given my time and space to navigate our weekly sessions how I felt safe to.
I’m proud to have been going to Sandy for this last year and can only credit my improvement to her and the safe environment she provided.

I had the equine therapy as the thought of being enclosed in a room does not work for me. Being outside in nature was amazing. I would highly recommend Sandy and her beautiful horse. It was a very mindful treatment that was perfect for me. Sandy listened to my concerns and tailored her therapy to my needs.

Sandy is warm and welcoming, she passes no judgement and creates an environment where you feel safe and comfortable to talk. She helps teach tangible coping mechanisms and has enabled me to self reflect, i've not only learn so much about myself but also how to better communicate with people around me. Sandy has helped unlock a part of me that has been hidden away for years. I finally feel happy within myself and I owe that to North Downs Therapy.

Finding a therapist that can work with you in a traditional sense and also out in the paddock with her lovely horse is something very special. I experienced Sandy as warm, compassionate and experienced. Highly recommend her.
