We’d like to give special praise to Jane Martin Jenkins for her invaluable support in processing a large number of client Christmas parcels.

Despite our apprehension and concern about arriving at the post office with almost 100 parcels, Jane was not only patient but incredibly efficient in ensuring that everything was successfully processed and ready for delivery ahead of Christmas.

We truly appreciate her help!

found service poor. I approached counter because 2 windows were open and I could see 2 staff behind them. I told in aggressive voice "only come when I call you!" The transaction was then done as I asked, and my follow-up question was answered, but the staff-member had an unsmiling, severe expression as if I was a nuisance.

If they could be any more grumpy and miserable, they would. Makes it feel like they are doing you a favour by accepting a parcel or providing a service.
I can only assume they are only volunteers and working out of the kindness of their hearts or perhaps fulfilling their community service obligations.

Awful experience we had this week we had an appointment went with all paperwork we were asked to bring for a new first passport the lady was so rude we lost our confidence in her sorting out the paperwork
We paid the extra £16 for her help which was not what we received unfortunately she
sent all our documents to a wrong address lucky enough all private paperwork has been forwarded to Peterborough
Manningtree post office please can you check your staff are doing passport requests properly
We have to wait now to see if she has taken photo correctly we did have a professional one but she said it wasn't any good
Maybe customer service training can be given to this lady especially for abruptly talking to my family how she did

I got treated very rudely by one of the Post Office staff inside the CoOp in Manningtree! My wife had been in a few days ago to try and post a parcel to Canada and she was told that it was a Large Parcel and would cost over £36. My wife has posted several similar sized parcels before to a friend in Canada from offer Post Offices in the area recently, with costs around the £15 to £25 range and this one was lighter than most. My wife was told that the dimensions added up to more than 90cm, so it classed as a large parcel, so she brought it away. My wife asked if I could re-pack it smaller, so I checked the Post Office website and found that an International Parcel to Canada should be:

“Max 2kg | Max L 60cm x W * x D *
*L+D+W must be under 90cm”

I re-wrapped the parcel and made sure that the L+D+W was less than 90cm and the weight was less than 2kg. I then double-checked the original parcel and found that it also met this criteria, which was strange. Today I faced the same challenge as my wife when the Post Office lady measured the W+D together and then doubled the L to arrive at dimensions that were more than 90cm. I asked the lady very politely of she could double-check this because we send a lot of parcels to Canada. She didn’t double-check and insisted that she had “been taught this way”. I had my mobile phone with the Post Office website open at the relevant page and tried to show the lady, but she wasn’t interested in looking, so I said your website says that the L+D+W should be less than 90cm, but she refused to agree with me and said I need to be served by someone else. At this point the lady was getting angry and was talking to a colleague and put my parcel quite aggressively back in the parcel window access point and basically stopped serving me. She then served a couple of extra people while I waited for a second person to serve me. This lady was called Shannon and was really lovely and helpful and processed my package with an extra tracked service for £24, which was exactly in line with what I was expecting. The rude server kept talking throughout defending the fact that she was taught that way. This really was most rude and arrogant and I never received even the slightest apology for her being in the wrong and treating me as she did.
