I moved from Scarborough where I’d always had hit and miss service. I registered with market Weighton group practice at the beginning of 2022 and I have had exceptional treatment since then. I have the friendliest nurse who does my jabs every 12 weeks, I have had doctors listen to me and send off referrals to get to the bottom of things and I have never had a bad experience. Best doctors practice I’ve ever been at. The car park is great as well and the whole surgery itself is nice and airy and has plenty of space and offers plenty of services. Can’t recommend them enough

Waited a month for an appointment with a specific practitioner for a specific procedure. Arrived for my appointment which was with a GP who told me the practitioner I had my appointment with is off sick with no planned return date. She is the only practitioner at the practice apparently who can do the procedure I need. What a waste of an appointment and a waste of my time. It would have made more sense to have phoned me to check what I was going for and to then advise me this particular practitioner wasn’t available.
I find it unacceptable that there is only one practitioner in the whole who is able to give the procedure I need and probably others need too.

The system they have in place is simply pointless. You walk in, they say they're busy and there is nobody in the waiting room. Don't get it. May as well close the surgery completely in my opinion as we just go to the walk in centre at Beverley and get seen straight away anyway.

Went in for my yearly health check and was told by the nurse I need to come back in as there where red flags. Tried to book an appointment but was told I had to go online….what is the point! Is this the norm or just market weighton ?

Friendly enough staff but dreadful system for getting to see an actual doctor. Basically it simply doesn’t work. TBH I’m not sure they employ any doctors there anymore as it’s nearly impossible to see one unless your leg is hanging off. They just say to ring 111 if it’s urgent. Why can’t they just make their own appointments?!?!

Rang last week for an appointment for my 16 month old, couldn't get an appointment until June. Rang again as he had a temperature of 39 and got told to go to Beverley walk in instead. Was there for 4 hours and had to wait in a warm car with a poorly toddler. He had an infection in both ears and tonsillitis. Got prescribed antibiotics and went to the Cohens pharmacy next door to collect. They took 20 minutes to get the prescription because the pharmasist didn't know how to get it off the computer, this was 9pm at night with an exhausted and poorly little boy. They didn't have the sweetened antibiotics so I took the normal one, my little boy is now spitting it out so I'm back calling Market Weighton doctors to see if I can get the sweet version. Caller number 7 and been waiting 20 minutes already. I've never known a doctors so bad, I was warned before moving to Market Weighton not to bother changing doctors as they are so poor, wish I had listened.

Genuinely terrible surgery. Reception are so rude and the doctors don’t do their job. Recently moved to a different surgery from here as I was unable to get any help, and already since moving I have found out blood test results came back bad even though I was told at market weighton they were good. You can’t trust these doctors at all. I was lied to and left unwell. This Illness wouldn’t be affecting me as much as It Is now If market weighton doctors had done their job In the first place. I don’t know how this surgery Is open and It’s terrible these people are actually In charge of caring for people. I can’t believe they lied to me. I wouldn’t be Ill now If they hadn’t.

This is the worse doctors surgery I have ever had the misfortune of being with. They refuse to do a face to face appointment with my son despite him being ill for 9 days, phone appointment only,it's a virus. He has been told by the doctor over the phone to go for blood tests,I rang them AGAIN today,8th in the que,on hold for 18 minutes (I have a screen shot) , finally the phone rings and they don't answer. Total and utter disregard for duty of patient care, absolutely disgusting
