McMillans is a great family run business offering a fantastic selection of malt whiskies, wines and gins. Jim and James have a great knowledge of their product and it shows with their enthusiasm for the subject. Visit "The Library" upstairs for a range of over 200 whiskies as well as cocktails and beers.

Have been into mcmillans now a few times over the past year, I have purchased a few bottle of whisky and wines the shop owner is lovely very eager to please ,wouldn't think about going anywhere else he is very knowledgeable and always gives the best prices , I wouldn't think about going anywhere else.

Great collection! Personable service, which is what you should get when you go to smaller businesses. James is very knowledgeable about whisky and an absolute pleasure to deal with over the phone. Highly recommended. I haven’t had the pleasure to visit the bar or buy in-store and purchased online. I have been told that they are also upgrading systems soon. Looking forward. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable Father and Son owned business, shop and bar! Prices are reasonable and selection is vast. I only go in for the whisky but there are wines and gin etc available too! Well worth a visit!

I'm a fan of McMillans of Malton, not least because they have a great and ever-changing range of Whisky. But also because the second time I met Jim he remembered what kind of whisky I liked after a brief conversation. I since went on to know James and his passion for the drinks industry. They are both extremely knowledgeable and well connected in the whisky world. What a great business to have on pour door step.

Went in looking for a good quality sherried whisky. The lad definitely knew his stuff. Fantastic service and great whisky at good prices.
Also has a speakeasy upstairs which has an extremely good selection of whiskies.
