If you like paying someone to do a job, but end up having to do it yourself, go with Nicola Phillips. We were hours away from having the plug pulled by the developers on our new build purchase because Nicola Phillips solicitors failed to complete the required jobs, despite having months to do so. My wife and I ended up having to contact various government agencies ourselves to get things done, just in the nick of time. When the situation was explained to Kirsty that we will be losing our house in a few hours, the usual gormless look appeared on her face and her reply was simply, "I know". Diabolical service with a don't care attitude.

Had a very bad experience. There were lots of delays, some mistakes, but mostly there was really poor communication: once I couldn't get through for a week, even to leave a message, and had to contact the SRA to see if Nicola was still in business. Then 10 days before crucial due completion date I was charged last-minute extra fees, which doubled the estimate! Nicola's paralegal assistant in particular did pull out the stops in last week to try to get to completion, but the rest of the 8 months the delays and poor communication made a difficult move much more stressful, not feeling I could rely on my solicitor. Definitely not in line with the promises on the website! Sadly Nicola didn't seem aware of the issues with her performance.

Recently used this company for conveyancing on a house we were selling.
When we first contacted Nicola she was very quick to respond to every email and replied within 24 hours which it states on the website however, once we signed up and paid the deposit contact stopped.
Every email was ignored and it was only when copied Kevin in did we get a response.
They do not get involved in sale and all communication is done through estate agent. Was charged extra for exchanging and completing on the same day as it states in their fees but at no point was I contacted by the conveyancer to confirm we wanted to do this, we were just told it was happening.
Once we completed I did get a call to say it was complete and Kevin told me he would get Nicola to put the money in our bank that afternoon or he would do it in the evening. The money did not arrive, I emailed both Kevin and Nicola who did not reply. I eventually had to phone Kevin on his personal phone to beg for money.
Then had to beg for money owed as had been overcharged because we paid a larger deposit than stated on the invoice that I had to request.
Through all of the process Nicola never replied to emails. I would not recommend, found her very rude by ignoring us. Maybe she will reply to the review and let us know she is still able to read.

We recently used Nicola Phillips Solicitors (Kevin) for buying our first house in Horsham. Kevin was professional, extremely helpful, kept us informed at every stage and gave great advice on the process.

As first time buyers we were glad we could trust and rely on Kevin to do all the relevant checks required to complete the purchase of our house. We would highly recommend Kevin and NPS to our friends and family and will be using them again in future for other legal matters.

We completed in just over 5 weeks from the initial offer as we wanted to be in by Christmas. Kevin was great at chasing the other solicitors to ensure a speedy competeion. Disappointed with our service. We were given an initial quote and it ended up costing over £600 more (it was a simple process, no extras or anything different to what was expected!). At the beginning of the buying process, it was very difficult to get in contact with the Nicola and the team, we had to call and email (they never picked up the phone in the morning). A thankyou to Kevin for helping in the latter stages, he did support us when needed. Now they are demanding we pay extra because they made a mistake! Wouldn't recommend unfortunately!
