Response to Response - All comments are FACTUALLY TRUE. North Ford have also as of today (A week) not provided me with my SRA file (I have asked three times) and have not acknowledged my official complaint (which was sent prior to me posting this review). But did find time to comment on this review...

Unfortunately a really poor experience overall.

It's also worrying when a solicitor who has been working on your case for three years bids on the same case on lawbid when I was looking for a different opinion.

A year has been effectively wasted as the firm failed to get the correct information last year and I was an email away from paying 8k in court fees which weren't needed.

Have lodged a complaint and requested plus 5k back in wasted legal fees.

From 2021 to August 2023 they were functional but since then have been ineffective and negligent.

I was going through a difficult insurance situation in that my insurance company were refusing to pay out my fire insurance claim in full, as they thought I was under insured.
This caused a lot of stress, anxiety & worry for me. I needed specialist, professional help in determining whether I had a case to challenge my insurance company & how I could go about this.
Whilst I had a rough idea of how to tackle this, I sought guidance from Salmaan Islam of North Ford Solicitors who listened to my situation then provided a number of options available, whilst stating that he believed I was in a strong position to win my appeal of under insurance.
I took his advice & used the Ombudsman service to challenge my insurance company &, after many months, I was successful in receiving the Ombudsman's legally binding confirmation that I did all that was expected of me in taking out my insurance in good faith & that the insurance company would have to pay for the full costs involved in settling my claim.
Salmaan's advice was very much appreciated & helped me believe even more in myself & that I had a strong case to fight my insurance company with.

My initial approach I was told all sorts of thing they would get done for my case almost fishing the client I feel. All sounded good. Then from there it went south. I was told around 6 to 8 weeks to do a letter of claim it took 8 months. I was told in October 2022 the letter of claim was ready it never got sent till march 2023. Despite constantly chasing it. The company had been paid £2500 roughly to take on the case. The defendant sent a letter back denying the claims which north Ford solicitors had all the evidence and witness against her. They then wanted a further £1500 to do a response letter which I was not comfortable giving them as they hadn’t done much that I was initially told they would do. There was a person working on my case that left the practice who was dealing with my case and all my case was handed to someone else which I didn’t get told about. The practice gave me £200 as a good will gesture when the case was dropped. All in all I really wished I never used this solicitors
