We recently completed a 2 day LANTRA off road driver training course with Chris. Chris is very knowledgable and taught us how to get the most out of our vehicle in every situation. He delivered the training very professionally and we could instantly tell he had a passion for off road driving.

We went back for a third day to get some basic knowledge and driver training in an ATV, having never driven one off road this was invaluable.

Thank you Chris for all of your help and the useful tips and tricks. Hopefully we will be working together again soon.

Chris tailored a course for 2 aspirant instructors, and delivered excellent quality training taking into account the skills and knowledge of the participants. What you get from Chris, Leanne and the ORC team is knowledge and skill transfer with professionalism and humanity. Utterly top notch course content, effective admin and a great experience. Neither are actually Orcs, but if you had to transport an army across rough terrain for legendary purposes I suspect they would know how, know how to communicate that know how, and you'd have a great time finding out.

As part of my professional development I recently completed a LANTRA ATV 2 day course with Off Road Consultancy.

An excellent and comprehensive course covering all aspects of ATV use in work based activities such as HSE advice and best practice, equipment choice and specification, load calculations and safety, and of course operating the equipment in a mix of challenging conditions.

There were 3 of us on the course varying in experience including a complete off road novice, a regular but untrained user of 4x4 equipment, and an experienced 4x4 instructor.

Chris adapted his training input to meet all 3 requirements whilst layering increasing levels of difficulty. The practical examples of dynamic risk assessment, and route planning ensured we all understood the capabilities, and more importantly, the limitations of the machine and it's use. In particular, and setting the LANTRA course apart from some providers, was the embedding of safe working practices and assessment of driving activities against repeatable work place tasks, as well as what we might do in a leisure scenario.

The weather conditions meant that the driving environment was very challenging in terms of available grip. Chris then varied the training areas so all of us were able to safely extend our practical awareness of surface, terrain, slope, and machine characteristics.

Chris and Leanne offer more than just training as their follow up support continues after any course that they run. They offer a true Consultancy with information, contacts and practical advice and support for getting workplace tasks completed. An example during the course was comparative examples for each task and terrain that gave 2 of the participants practical suggestions to best match equipment to their workplace requirements.

A thoroughly professional experience offering excellent value for money and auditable skills based training records.

Just completed the Lantra 2 day offroad and adverse conditions training course with Off Road Consultancy. Chris the Instructor was knowledgeable and engaging whilst putting us through our paces. The course was a refresher for me and the theory element was a good reminder of different 4x4 systems and their capabilities, legislation and safety.
Practically we used 2 different vehicles on the off road course which demonstrated their different attributes and our own driving abilities with Chris explaining the finer points to keep the vehicle moving.
Overall a superb experience, practical, informative, challenging and great fun !
