Unfortunately had the sad experience of dealing with this company today, over £1,500 apparently owed to Southern water, that even by Southern waters own comments - 'that's not right'.

Account supposed to be on hold by Southern Water whilst they investigate but has slipped through the net! I work in financial services to protect companies against FCA enforcement and to list the procedures, policies and information that Orbit is neglecting to publish publicly would probably take up the space for 10 reviews - which is odd considering they are an appointed representative of Westcot Credit

To add i am also undergoing Cancer treatment making me a vulnerable customer. Despite telling Orbit all of this and providing details of live payments being made to Southern Water i was still asked to make a payment today - astonishing!

Account has now been sent back to Southern Water, lets hope i don't hear from Orbit again otherwise i will directly ask the FCA to investigate them, their principal firm and the registered individual, Lynn Cruickshanks (SMF3)

Please remember that these clowns have no legal powers at all. They can't do nothing, can't seize nothing, they are debt collectors and not court bailiffs. Video record anybody from this company who attends your home property. Remove there implied rights of access and tell them to do one

i owe the water company £200 and when an orbit clown came to my door he said the actual amount was about £50 more than what i actually owe. absolute scum of the earth trying to steal money from people who are already struggling 😡

They keep taking money from my account, which I no longer owe. I've informed them of the changes, yet they STILL take my money!!! Money I cannot afford to lose, this has, and is affecting my mental health. Shame on them!

Owed southern water £100 for a much larger bill than was expected last year.

Sadly, Southern Water transferred the debt to these cowboys ‘orbit’ as we were obviously not paying or acknowledging the remaining £100 debt in a timely manner - our bad!

My partner sadly agreed a payment plan with the robbers aka Orbit which involved an immediate extra fee of £45…for their services - what a joke!! Almost half the debt again added on. I would have just paid southern water directly and ignored their useless threats but here we are.

So total paid to Orbit was £145 in instalments directly from my partners bank, yet they take out an extra £45 from the bank after all debt cleared and Kelly from Orbit tries to tell me southern water have billed them directly for current water used in between times.. absolute lie - I’m billed 6 monthly, bill is not even generated until Sept. So Kelly from Orbit talks absolute poppycock. After getting rather annoyed and hanging up on Kelly, who clearly likes to tell fibs - a phone call to Southern Water was had and then second call to Orbit.

Orbit have agreed to refund the extra £45 and Kelly said it was not clear on her screen and that she wasn’t telling fibs - how about listen to the customer! The refund can take up-to 12 working days - of course it will, quick enough to take it though!!!

My advice, if you owe someone money, miss out the middle man (or woman) - the thieves like Orbit Debt Collections - and pay who you owe directly, they won’t say no, they’ll take the money, they just want their services paid for. Luckily I noticed the extra money leaving his account, I’m sure they chance their luck with many others, whilst people are on their knees with bills. Overall I consider us luckily despite paying over the odds.

Warning steer clear of Orbit.

Keep harassing me by text for a debt that isn't mine on a property I no longer live in! I left over 6 months ago and the person currently living in the property owes money, NOT me so leave me alone!!!

They send guys to your address in the middle of the day when your at work so your not at home to answer. They leave a card DEMANDING you contact them in the next 24 hours. The first guy wrote the wrong number on the card he posted through my letterbox. I called Orbit main contact centre who said I need to speak to the agent who had been sent. They gave me the correct number but he didn’t answer the phone or reply to my message….
3 weeks later a different agent visited my property, again whilst I was at work. This time he wrote the correct number on the card but didn’t answer my call or reply to my message.
Not really sure how these people expect you to pay your debt when they visit in the middle of the day whilst your at work and then don’t answer their phones

These people keep phoning MY phone to talk to my wife to pay a water bill I've already paid, I've told them to remove my contact number from their records but they refuse. Calls come up as suspected spam and handlers want lots of personal details. I will be contacting solicitors as I've had enough from this company. Is understand if debt wasn't paid but it's clear and I pay them each week to pass on to United utilities as directed.
